How much A/C are you running?

I didn't run mine at all this weekend. Fans and windows open. It's 102 but that doesn't mean I HAVE to turn my A/C on. For me it's two things 1) The electricity providers do not deserve to have my money, so I want to give them as little of it as I can 2) a toughness issue, we haven't had A/C that long of a time. People lived in Texas and other areas without A/C, it can be done.

It just seems the privileged American syndrome: we all deserve, we are all just so damn entitled to have.

Yesterday they were bitching about us showering every day, now they are bitching about air conditioning.
Tell you what DUmmy my wife and I pay our electric bill and you goons can kiss my ass, we will use as much AC as we want.

1. In AZ?

Pretty much have to run the A/C 24/7.

And I bet the taxpayers are paying for your AC.

Americans have this attitude and are spoiled to a remarkable degree, speaking generally. We use a huge percentage of the worlds resources, compared with our population numbers.

It used to be something Americans were proud of, having better living conditions than most countries, now the DUmmies hang their heads in shame over us eating what we want, driving our SUVs, and setting our thermostats at 72 degrees year round. Yet none of them give up any of those luxuries.

Considering the DUmmies don't bathe everyday I would think they would at least run the AC so they don't get as sweaty and stink as bad.

Personally, I don't care for AC.  Even when it gets 90, 100, and some above.  But that's just me.  My car that I use most the time, doesn't have it.  I didn't use it on the trip I took in a truck that does have it.

So what?  Different strokes...

I swear, I'm "greener" and have a smaller "carbon footprint" than the loonies on the island just by living simply.  And, I don't try to convert anyone, nor do I follow the advice of others who would have me do differently than I care to.

Without American exceptionalism how would we know the rest of the world is so crummy?  I mean, really - what would all the rest have to aspire to be?

Frankly, I hope they leave it off.  Then there is just more electricity for me, and the rest of the civilized world.

How much A/C are you running?

Since that damned man-made global warming rolled in just about the time summer began I've had to run the AC pretty much 24 hours a day.

Thankfully, when winter time comes and that damned man-made global cooling shows up I'll be able to cut back on the AC usage.

On really hot days and nights, (which there haven't been many this summer), I'll sit outside on the back porch with our dog and have a fan blowing cooled AC air out through the open door.

Honey Chile, I got a carbon footprint like HMS Dreadnought on a batch of rank-smelling French coal. My carbon footprint would probably get smaller if I were burning clean, efficient tires for all my energy needs.

I agree. We all have different things we like and don't like. Things we use and don't use. Liberals want everyone to do it their way, and only their way. I hold out on the a/c as long as I can in the Spring, but this year it started to get really hot outside earlier then normal. The a/c is running. Even on nights that it cools off, it's often windy and dusty here. My allergies hate it. So I keep the doors closed and the a/c on. When I am at work I turn the a/c up to about 84 as it does not take long to cool off when I get home and turn it back down.

I conserve where I can because it saves me money, I think the earth is fine no matter what I do.

You forgot to mention, DUmbass, that we also manufacture a huge percentage of the world's goods.  Manufacturing takes resources, it can't be done with skittles and unicorn farts.

Damn if they want to be so damn European why don't they just MOVE over here.

I blast my AC. Its hot and humid outside.
If the means to live in comfort are available, then I shall do so.

Leave it to a DUmmy to say that no AC and no showers make for an enlightened lifestyle. Fools.

How long till there is a liberal push to force this lifestyle upon the rest of us?

How long till there is a liberal push to force this lifestyle upon the rest of us?

They already are.  Composting, one sheet of toliet paper to wipe, Hollywood actors bragging about never using deorodant.  The move by the Feds to use solar and wind to try and provide power for the country...never mind you coulldn't put up enough wind mills and solar panels to do the job.

It's a slow creep into early 1900's lifestyles that's being pushed on us by thes Liberal Luddites.

It's terrible the way that America keeps using all of that water which otherwise would be turning the Sahara into one big oasis.

So I ask them: Does a living wage include enough income to run the A/C as much as you want?  Or are you going to attach some gov't mandated limits on what this living wage can or can't be spent upon?

Look you stupid primitives, you can't have it both ways.

Tell ya how it's going to be, primitives, cause this isn't up for a vote. You'll run your Mc A/C based upon what your McJob pays you, and you'll Mclike it.

I have a room setup with a window 5000BTU A/C just for my dog.

A rope attached to the door knob and he can pull it open when inside the room and I have it aligned so that it closes very slowly but not latch behind him when he pushes his way into the room. Unlike the DUmmies he actually contributes to society in a positive way.

And then when they get to be the age of cali, grasswire, or any of the other senile DUmbasses, they'll get stashed in a nice home without electricity or A/C where they'll die of heatstroke by the tens of thousands while their kiddies take their six-week vacations.

67 Rover, a feat of engineering!

Due to this awful and oppressive global warming, our nights have been in the 40's and our days have been in the low 70's.  No need for AC.  We did have a July heatwave, and I ran the sucker as powerful as I pleased.

Although I am an Engineer (electro/optic) Flat Coat Retrievers are very smart so training was very very easy, he spends most of the hot/humid days in there coming out to relieve himself and wade in his kiddie pool before returning to the A/C. That is unless I am eating then he will sit there trying to mind meld with me to give him food.

BTW there is a sleigh bell on the door to the outside that he "rings" with his nose to go out.  :-)

This bothers me and it's the typical DUmbass mentality. Don't deserve it? Cut the service. It's not mandatory. Hey, DUmb****, I don't like getting the power bill either, but these guys works their ASSES off to provide your sorry ass with electricity, 24/7/365. We're one of the few where electricity is so readily available. Move to Africa, you ungrateful ****. What the **** do you think they do with the payments they receive from their customers, you DUmbass? They're the ones in the elevated boxes when a hurricane, ice storm, tornado, or earthquake come and **** up your shit. They're the ones repairing their product when your stupid ass is sitting in the home bitching about not having electricity to cook your Tofu, or whatever the **** it is you cook.

Most of those working for the power companies also belong to unions. If people don't use electricity, then the companies will lay off employees.

Hell, you don't even have to go that far.  Power quality in Europe ain't the best.  Electronics get fried on a regular basis if you don't have a filter/surge protector.

And while I'm not a lineman as you described, Reb, I've done my fair share of nights/weekends/holidays where I work.  These DUmmies wouldn't bother to get out of bed to fix something even if it affected hundreds of thousands of their neighbors, like when a wind or ice storm slams us.  They'd just rather bitch about how long it takes to get their power back.
