Title: Barack Obama aide: Why Winnie the Pooh should shape US foreign policy
Post by: Tess Anderson on June 18, 2008, 09:04:07 AM
And also yet another reason why Barack Hussein Obama should never get anywhere near the White House:

Quote
Danzig, who served as Navy Secretary under President Clinton and is tipped to become National Security Adviser in an Obama White House, told a major foreign policy conference in Washington that the future of US strategy in the war on terrorism should follow a lesson from the pages of Winnie the Pooh, which can be shortened to: if it is causing you too much pain, try something else.

Mr Danzig told the Centre for New American Security: “Winnie the Pooh seems to me to be a fundamental text on national security.”

He spelt out how American troops, spies and anti-terrorist officials could learn key lessons by understanding the desire of terrorists to emulate superheroes like Luke Skywalker, and the lust for violence of violent football fans.

They want this guy to be the next American National Secuity Advisor?

I'd rather take foreign policy advice from Eric Cartman. At least he doesn't take any shit and can make you eat your own parents.

Yeah, in reality it's Eeyore that is the biggest threat and the Eeyore party is in control of both houses and is the majority on the SCOTUS and both major candidates are in the Eeyore party.

In fact, it is Eeyore who has written our national policy for some time now.

We should also take some lessons from Dr. Seuss on fiscal policies of the Federal Reserve...

I think this is going to be hugely damaging to Obama.  Foxnews is taking this and running for all it's worth, and good for them for doing so.  If this doesn't drive home the "inexperience" factor, then I don't know what will.

I was reading some stuff online and someone calculated that Obama spent roughly 143 working days from the time he was sworn in the Senate until the time he announced his intentions to run for President. They contrasted that with McCain's years in the military and Senate and time as a POW. Very compelling. Of course I don't expect the Oooobama kool-aid suckers to get it.

Of course not.  But the independants who do think about how they cast their vote will see it.

hey!  that's almost 5 whole months.  and besides, it's about judgment, not experience.  unless you count meeting with terrorists without preconditions, or about insanely insisting that we should pull out of a war that we are clearly winning, or admitting that capital gains taxes should be increased out of "fairness", despite the fact that this has been clearly demonstrated to depress government revenues, or refusing to accept public campaign financing despite pledging to do so, or . . . . shit.

that's still 5 months, dammit !!111!1!!1

That's like letting some med school student who's only been going to class for five months perform brain surgery on you. We're well and truly screwn! :-)
