I am in awe of Black America.
It has approached the outcome of the Zimmerman trial with grace and dignity, but above all else, with sagacity.
Predictions of riots were commonplace, much of it fueled by overt attempts by overt racists and gun fetishists to incite rioting.
Starting with Trayvon Martin's parents' example, to community leaders, to individuals I have heard on local teevee and radio, the calls have been for peaceful action. Not inaction. Oh no. Peaceful action.
It was disgusting to listen to the national networks' coverage of the spontaneous demonstrations last night in the minutes and hours after the verdict was announced. I heard rhetorical exaggerations. By way of example, a spontaneous demonstration in Oakland, CA, was reported as "spilling into the streets" and the numbers (it was about a hundred people) reported as if it were the Million Angry Black People march.
It would be so easy - without regard to race - for members of an aggrieved community to have at least a few individuals act like knuckleheads. But there hasn't even been that.

Please don't ascribe some unintended racist intent or insensitivity to this post. I know we are on a hair trigger and not terribly kind to one another. I mean nothing but respect and admiration.
He actually got jumped on by a few of his fellow DUmmies, the best IMO was this one...

And that's where I, as WestStar, made a huge moleing error. I knew as soon as I hit reply that it would raise suspicions. Once Highpointdem and Pretzel-warrior, two of the slower DUmbasses, finally figured out what I was saying, and that took a couple of days, they went on an alerting binge last night and WestStar was TS'd.
I used to keep count of how many 'stones I've collected since '01 but I lost track somewhere around 40 or so.

Of course they're not going to openly "Call" for violent action, that could get them arrested for incitement. At least 9 times out of 10, the liberal protests that inevitably turned violent were initially referred to as "Peaceful action." It's just a front they put up so that when things inevitably get violent, the people who started it could wash their hands of it and say "Oh, no; We wanted this to be peaceful, it's just a few extremists in our ranks making us look bad (Wink, wink). You can't arrest me for something I didn't want to happen!"
