I grew up in the south and it seems to me that us southerners have gotten a bad rap. I just wanted to remind everyone that there was some very influential musicians that have become associated with rednecks. Well we all know rednecks are not to bright and their memories are short. If people took the time to listen to some of the old southern musicians and rockers they might be surprised. To steal a line from Molly Hatchet, The way you judge a man, is to look into his sole. Just an old southerners perspective.
It is a shame indeed that the anti-bigotry DUmmies don't realize that they engage in that same bigotry and stereotyping on a regular basis.
In order to assist the lurking DUmmies:
we southerners
there were
not too
soul
southerner's

That's funny right there!
I may be Southern, redneck, and Republican, but at least I can spell and use PROPER grammar and punctuation. :rotf:
DUmmie RR writes worse than a 4th grade special-ed student.
Actually, I consider myself a liberal's worst nightmare: A redneck with a pickup, a library card, and a CCW permit. :-)

I think the OP is profiling rednecks and southerners. I thought that DU was against profiling?
