this is for a measly 2-3 hours/day ( between daycare and when I come back home)

Nearly everyone of the 25 odd people who responded are college graduates ..many have/are working towards masters

One has a PhD in immunology with 20 years experience as a pharma scientist ...( obviously must have been laid off)

makes me want to cry .. why good people who have bought into the american dream bullshit , are having to fight for jobs that belong to high school students wanting to make a few extra dollars

This is the hope 'n change you voted for. Get used to it.

4. Is this why immigration reform is so important, so

we can compete with more people for dog shit jobs? Reagan used amnesty to bust labor unions and lower wages for everyone. Is this what you politically correct people really want? Just askin...

But look at the bright side, dems will have a lot of power thanks to all the new voters. It does suck that your SNAP benefits may go down a little to accommodate, but it's just wealth redistribution so it's all good.

Did a fight break out over No. 8 up there?  Cause that was kind of an assholish thing to say.

Because sponging off the government and family is better than actually working.

1. Spend tens of thousands of dollars per year on education

2. Discover major has no discernible career prospects

3. Continue spending until you obtain a Master's degree in said worthless major

4. Claim it was worth it because education makes you smarter or something

Oh my (liberalism), I wonder what (liberalism) form of political ideology (liberalism) would have created a people (liberalism) that have "serious personality flaws" (liberalism) and an "incredibly sick culture" (liberalism)?

What?!?!?! Chico man... you are judging people. Not supposed to do that. That nose ring and face tattoo is a sign of individuality.

Even a broken clock is right twice a day. If college grads aren't finding jobs now...why invite 33 million illegals into the US?

Its also going to destroy whats left of SSI, Medicare etc. as millions of new people start withdrawing from a system they haven't paid into.

Sounds like *jugs* *jugs* *jugs*.  She went so far as to spend even more on a worthless degree.
Now she's stuck peddling loans to poor kids, for equally unimportant studies.
Why does *jugs* hate poor people?

I have come to believe that the push for higher education for the masses was caused by collusion between the universities/colleges and the student loan industry. The colleges wanted more money and the student loan industry wanted a guaranteed profit so they got in cahoots to create a bunch of worthless degrees and convenience parents and students that the education they offered was necessary to get ahead in life. Let's face it, a lot of the kids in college would have been better off with a trade school certificate than a college degree. At least then they would have had a marketable skill. A mechanics license would have done more for their career potential than a degree in Asian Studies.

May be more of a correlation to other issues besides employment history with your pool of candidates.

I have never been without a job, even in the worst of times I could get a job. I was raised on a farm which to me is a trade school in its self. I could drive trucks, tractors, heavy equipment, work on all types of equipment, carpentry, pour cement blah-blah-blah. It certainly taught me how to solve problems and do the most with the least.

Yep things sure are different than in say the beginning of 2007. Then something changed and changed radically. The congress became democrat controlled and things started going down hill pretty quickly under the witless Nanzi Pelosi. Economic legislation was passed that did great harm to our country with the fruition of many democrat "feel good" laws such as CRA finally getting the outcome we all knew they would.

In the spring of 2008 it became apparent that either a marxist or a fascist was going to become president which started a real rush to the exits for the smart money. The smart people knew what great damage had been done when the democrat party had control of the congress and the presidency, the Jimmy Carter years. So in 2009 the great recession started and the economic illiterate democrat party did everything they could and knew would extend the economic pain. They implemented identical policies as FDR and reaped identical results.

So now, six years of democrat economic policies have brought what progressive/socialist/communist/fascist policies always brings, misery and despair. I have no doubt that soon the third leg of progressive/socialist/communist/fascist policies will be heading our way, mass murders of millions of the very people that think progressive/socialist/communist/fascist policies are good ideas. Sadly, there will also be millions dead that had the common sense to know the three assured outcomes of progressive/socialist/communist/fascist policies.

And also where are the Unicorns we were promised?

You suspect a NAMBLA type ring expanding it's reach ?
I was thinking more along the lines that the initial story was too far fetched to be true.

I'm sure there were at least some molesters in the crowd, but also a bunch of people receiving some sort of public assistance including SSDI who want to work off the books, or aren't otherwise employable in their professional fields for reasons ranging from 'there actually isn't such a profession outside of universities' to mental or conduct issues that have poisoned the well with anyone who might hire them.

Same here, Johnny.

I was driving tractors and trucks by the age of 7, carpentry, electrical and welding by age 11, and even had a small engine repair business at age 15 (until Briggs and Stratton found out I was a minor, and revoked my dealer licence. :-))

Poured concrete, ran dozers, skid loaders, rebuilt silo unloaders, hell, I've FORGOTTEN more things than the entire population of the DUmp could even know!

I would LOVE to see a reality TV show with a bunch of DUmmies on a farm, just trying to figure out which end of the cow to put the feed bucket under and which end to put the milk bucket under.   :rotf:

(Hint for DUmmies:  If it only has one teat, it ain't the cow!   :lmao:)
