How far has July 4th strayed from its original celebration of America’s independence? To find out, prank YouTube channel whatever traveled to Isla Vista, California to ask some partying college students what they know about the history of the holiday.

The results were inevitably both hysterical and disturbing, recalling an even less-informed version of the Funny or Die classic “Drunk History” (now a new series on Comedy Central). These kids don’t know why we celebrate the 4th of July...

During Jesse Waters travels, he was able to interview one young man who said he regretted voting for owebuma twice. This was after the NSA and IRS and other scandals were made apparent. So there is hope. And not the hopey changey kind of hope either.
