MrScorpio
I'll never forget the look in their eyes, they were terrified of me...
This happened to me many years ago and I'll never forget it... And it explains to me why some are prone to believe Z's story that he was attacked by Trayvon Martin and not the other way around.
Let me start at the beginning: When I was around 18 years old, not much older than Trayvon himself, I used ride my bike to and from Downtown Detroit on the weekends to visit the Ethnic Festivals of the time. My route consisted of riding towards Downtown on Gratiot Ave and returning home on Jefferson Ave. Those of you who understand the layout of the city will understand why this is important.
Well, one day after spending my time at the festival, I took off on my return trip, heading east on Jefferson as I usually did. At some point I was passed on my left by a car, which pulled over to the side and stopped. Just as I was about to pass that stopped car to my right, the driver opened his door right in front of me. I quickly avoided the door for the most part, but clipped the edge with my right pedal. Now, my first reaction wasn't anger that this person almost took me out with his car door... I mean, here I am.. I'm alright and I hadn't bothered to look down at my pedal, which I discovered later was smashed. I was a bit in shock at this, the first thing out of my mouth was, "Are you alright?"
Well, the person who opened his car door in front of me was this older white man and in the passenger seat of the car was his older white wife. Now as I stood there, not angry mind you... not even being loud, without one word to me, he got out of his car and walked over to the newspaper stand that he parked next to, bought a paper and still without saying one word to me, he got back into his car and sped off... Heading east on Jefferson, ostensibly to the safe, White People confines of one the Grosse Pointes or whatever.
Once he did that, I took a moment to reflect on what just happened. Living in Detroit most of my life, I hadn't had much experience in dealing with strange White suburbanites... But to me, this was really telling.
That man and his wife were scared shitless that I was about to do something to them... Harm them in some way. I saw it in their EYES, which spoke to me louder than any words. Committing an act of violence was the furthest thing from my mind, as I said my first reaction was to express concern about them. I was raised to respect my elders and all that and I wasn't harmed. I would have at least liked an apology for almost side-swiping me... But I didn't even get a whoop tie-doo out of these people.
I thought, "How rude," as I saw them drive off.
But not just how rude they were, but genuinely frightened that I would harm them. Perhaps they were feeling guilty for being in the wrong for almost side-swiping me... But, then I thought, if they felt that way one of them would at least had bothered to tell me that they were sorry for doing that. Again, their EYES and their SILENCE spoke volumes.
Living out there in The Pointes, I would hazard a guess that any time they went into the city, their first concern would be to be on the look out for any darkies who would accost them out of the blue. Now just to let you know, I'd known plenty of Whites who lived IN the City and never once had any of these people ever imparted to me that they were scared to walk around Detroit while White. This was the early Eighties and crossing the suburban borders was then a tricky exercise.
But here I was, looking at a couple of scared White Suburbanites leave me flabbergasted in their exhaust.
The thing is that struck me later, in thought, is that I realized that, in the isolation of their bleached Suburban lifestyle, they hadn't had the opportunity to interact with the dazzling array of young Black males of Detroit , such as myself at the time. Instead they were conditioned to fear us and to be scared shitless of us instead of showing us the common ****ing courtesy of even talking to us or offering us an apology for almost wiping us out on our bikes while they stopped for a copy of the local paper.
Perhaps, they were under the belief that we young Black males are predisposed to committing acts of violence upon their frail White bodies at the drop of the hat? That fear, of course, impelled them to be the silent assholes that they were.
Which brings us to today.
Earlier today, as I said, I had the misfortune of reading and even writing back and forth with the Z defenders in some of the news sites covering the trial.
And one theme seemed to run through most of their justifications of Z gunning down Martin. In their minds, they are convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that Martin attacked Z without provocation. You couldn't convince these people otherwise. They are rock-solidly certain that Martin was a violent perp who got what he deserved when Z shot him down.
After all, aren't ALL young Black males just itching to attack any unsuspecting White citizen at the drop of a hat? It happens all of the time, they say. We Black males are dangerous, even more so when in the presence of White people... Z was all too fortunate that he was armed for his own safety, that dark and rainy night.
Now, I have my own theory about Z, which I will leave for another time. This bit of writing is about his defenders and exchanges like the one I had on HuffPo with them:

Apparently, you're taking Z's side in this argument. Do you also feel that he was justified in leaving his vehicle to follow Martin with a loaded weapon?
I'm still waiting for his answer, by the way.
But anyway, if anything is clear, it's that fear blinds people to a lot of things around them.

I find this whole story very funny. Thanks, boy primitive.
His whole identity is his race. If this story is true -- If -- there's no forethought that the old man who opened the door wasn't aware the boy primitive was going to pass around him on the right, no recognition that the older man probably wasn't even aware that the boy primitive's bike pedal had nicked the door, no acknowledgement that the older man may not even have heard the boy primitive say anything, and no acknowledgement that the older mans "look in his eyes" might have just been him being startled someone was there. For all this older man knew, he stopped his car, got out and got a paper, got back in, and drove off. But the boy primitive has no choice but to dream that it was a racist incident because he's sure that the man was scared.... cause he saw it in his eyes.
Look boy primitive, if he was scared of you, he would have never gotten out of his car to get a paper. Did that ever dawn on your little pineapple head?
And then he ties this into the Z-TM case.
What an idiot.

78. Excellent post.
Just in case anyone out there doubts the existence of blatant racism in its ugliest form:

Holy shit.
Nothing racist here, Liberal Guy, except from the storyteller and you. Yes, you.
Your little primitive friend dreams up racism over an incident where the guy driving the car more than likely wasn't even aware of what happened. Yet your racist friend thinks it's all because he's black and the driver was white.
And you defend him. Which makes you a racist, and I would gladly say it to your face and dare you to deny it.

Well now, surely I'm not the only person who sees this among the primitives on Skins's island.
I've always had the impression the white primitives (which is 97.6% or 98.3% or whatever of them) nervously tip-toe around the black primitives, afraid they'll give offense in some way, and the black primitive(s)'ll get all angry and beat them up, or something.
Surely I'm not the only person who sees this.

There is another side of the coin here.
I am a Yankee and respectfull to all. When we travel to Dixie we do not change over night, we be Yankees and conduct ourselves as such.
One thing we needed to get use to is the southern Blacks checking out our license plate when I call a black man Sir. Eyebrows raise and curiosity why this white woman gives them respect, shows no fear of them and treats them with courtesy.
South West, no problem there, courtesy and the curiosity of the natives of the region is a good thing.
BTW----My Grandfather old school French, was given a tongue lashing in Florida by a southern Cracker Cop in the 60's, he about to enter a store saw an elderly black woman and tipped his hat to her and opened the door for her. Along comes this Police officer after checking out their license plate to remind my grandfather that in this area this was not done, he needed to go home before he insulted the White folks.

83. Let's see....
Normally, the insulting nickname is Mr. Dorkio. This time it's "primitive boy." Well, that's pretty edgy, but not necessarily racist.
But, comparing the man in question to a bicycle riding monkey? Gee. How could anyone be so supersensitive to think that's racist?
Well, me: Racist. ****.
The hate and hypocrisy roiling at that site is a toxic mix. Anyone who resides there -- God knows runs that cesspool -- is beneath contempt.
Now now Buzzy the word "boy" is racist according to many people on the cesspool that you happily post at. I advise that you edit your post to reflect that you too believe the word "boy" is racist to save yourself some grief from the hive mind.
To be fair Buzzy, we compare every DUmmy to a monkey, since most of you are no smarter than a chimp. Since we believe in equality, actual equality not the crap you spew, we will treat a black DUmmy the same way we treat any other DUmmy of any race. Skin color is only of importance to you freaks of nature. The rest of us judge people on their actions.

I see we have a lot of guests visiting this thread. Hey you lurking DUmp Monkeys, you are disgusting excuses for human beings, the way you want to leech off of other people and have everything handed to you on a solid gold platter, the way you sick bastards will fight tooth and nail in order to protect the imaginary right to murder the unborn in cold blood, and the constant lies that change from day to day just like your Preezy does. You people never reached adulthood in your mental capacity and are still nothing but children who need to be babysat 24/7. Grow up, do something with your lives and quit bitching about how unfair life is.

Of course you would. And I'd punch your teeth down your throat for even suggesting it were I in front of you, son.
Somebody was riding a bike and it got bent. The story that occurred to me as I was reading it was the children's story of Curious George and how his bike was bent. Only a racist like you could take that and make it out to be something other than it is. Remember, I believe in God, so there's no "humans come from apes" belief from me about anyone.
And while I'm at it, I call him boy primitive because he thinks like a little boy. Of course, I could use the same term and it be applicable to buzzy or any of the other male primitives. Who knows, in the future I just might.

I do. Also perfectly legal. In fact, George was using the exact ROE that had caught burglars breaking into houses in his neighborhood a few weeks before.

Pffffft!
I don't care what you do or what you believe about me or anyone here. I'm more intelligent than you could ever hope to be if you live 10,000 lifetimes and retained what you learned from lifetime to lifetime, and I know it.
Wake up, Liberal Guy. He's making up things out of whole cloth based upon what he perceived happened. No word from the older man, nothing. Just a look in his eyes.
If this happened at all, my guess is the older man never even knew what happened. Never knew he opened the door while a biker was going by, never knew the bike pedal hit the door, never knew someone had spoken to him, etc... He was focused on parking, getting his paper, and moving on to wherever he was headed next. Older people tend to get that way and not notice things or hear things as well as they get -- you know - - older. That Lamond didn't even acknowledge that as a possibility tells me all I need to know. His conclusion was "white guy scared of black guy." That's the only place he went with the whole story.
Yeah, but whatever you want to believe.

hazard a guess that any time they went into
the city, their first concern would be to be on
the look out for any whiteys who would accost
them out of the blue. Now just to let you
know, I'd known plenty of Blacks who lived
IN the City and never once had any of these
people ever imparted to me that they were
scared to walk around Detroit while Black.
This was the early Eighties and crossing the
suburban borders was then a tricky exercise.
But here I was, looking at a couple of scared
Black urbanites leave me flabbergasted in
their exhaust.
The thing is that struck me later, in thought,
is that I realized that, in the isolation of their
dyed black urban lifestyle, they hadn't had
the opportunity to interact with the dazzling
array of young White males of Detroit , such
as myself at the time. Instead they were
conditioned to fear us and to be scared
shitless of us instead of showing us the
common ****ing courtesy of even talking to
us or offering us an apology for almost
wiping us out on our bikes while they
stopped for a copy of the local paper.
Perhaps, they were under the belief that we
young White males are predisposed to
committing acts of violence upon their frail
Black bodies at the drop of the hat? That
fear, of course, impelled them to be the
silent assholes that they were.
Snip
After all, aren't ALL young White males just
itching to attack any unsuspecting Black
citizen at the drop of a hat? It happens all of
the time, they say. We White males are
dangerous, even more so when in the
presence of Black people...
Snip
But anyway, if anything is clear, it's that fear
blinds people to a lot of things around them.
Lol.

93. Bless your heart, you honestly have no idea, do you?
Not a clue. You poor thing.
Someone supplied a link the Conservative Cave a few posts down thread. Do you realize that you are stating (verbatim) what the knuckle draggers have?
Yeah...no. Upon a quick look at the two pages, that awesome little reverse of the boy primitive's story is not here.

Check the link out down thread. I was as shocked as you were to find that you quoted a post there verbatim.
No doubt, just a coincidence!
VERBATIM!!!!
I can't lie. I love these "people sometimes. Hilarious. Watching the primitives is sometimes like watching rabbits ****. It's funny, but not necessarily something you want to see.

I have a hard time even believing Scorpio is black. His claim may be just a sympathy ploy.
after all DUmmies lie-ALL the time.
Even if he does turn out to be black, the story is too trite to be true. Blacks today desperately want to be victimized and with the lack of real racism, they have to make up stories like this out of thin air. I wonder how long it will be before Scoprio starts making nooses and hanging them on his locker at work-oh wait, you have to have a job to do that.
Now for Scorpio to have made a believable story it would have started like this, "I was at work polishing shoes on the street corner when..."

Done. Now when I think of stirring the hive, I think of the one I posted about in Florida that was 6 feet tall and 8 feet wide. Just a little stirring there would produce a deadly swarm !

get nervous about driving in urban black neighborhoods. Every white person knows this is true.
and of course in their view Mr. Scorpio had to be the one in the wrong - in their analysis, he is the one who damaged their car - of course! And the man was just startled to see someone there (of any color!) or didn't notice. And his getting the newspaper proves he was not afraid!
I won't lie and say driving through an unfamiliar urban area doesn't makes me nervous. Urban areas are usually where crimes happen. And there are a lot of areas us creepy ass crackers are not welcome, yet we are the racists somehow. :mental:

So, to recap. The verbatim post was a cut and paste of the verbatim post. It's so simple even a lib could get confused.
It wasn't verbatim, it was just the same line of thinking, of "If they were so scared why did he get out of the car?".
Which is a valid point, if the wife and I pulled up somewhere and there was someone who looked like they were up to no good we would keep on driving.
I know the DUmmies will think that I mean sons of 0bama, but that does include white Hispanics, and other creepy ass crackers as well.

103. The thing is about these guys...
... they are narcissistic in every sense of the word, and it is their undoing. They ridicule us behind a secure wall, banning those who dare arrive at their hive and confront them. (Two lifetime bans here, thank you very much.) So, to ensure that they get as much mileage as they can from their "moling", they cannot resist going back to CC and linking to their own posts here at DU. A couple of them have the self discipline to avoid this, but most are too self-adoring and too weak to resist. And I was really amused by the mallet head who posted a defense of a CC post, and then immediately linked it back at CC. Too funny.
And still, somehow, they feel superior.
This amuses me he is posting at an actual hive, where you must support the democrat party or else, about us being a hive. We do allow libs to post here most don't have the balls, and usually the ones that do get so vile and out of hand that we end up banning them for being so vile.

And how many times has Skin's ordered these dolts to ignore us? Yet for whatever reason they can't obey a direct order from the guy hosting their pity party. Disrespectful to say the least.
Look primitives, just pretend we aren't here. Don't ever mention us again on the island. Really now, how hard is that to do?

For the primitives it IS hard to do. They know we laugh at them. That we shine the light of truth on their lies.
They are drawn to us like a moth to a flame.

This is why I've wanted the DUmpster to be a closed forum, so that we can say what we really think about the primitives, without having to be nice.
But alas the DUmpster becoming a closed forum is about as likely to happen as Sarah Palin is to be the Democrat nominee for president in 2016.

It's a shame the primitives can't practice more self-discipline. Skin's has asked them time and time again, but they won't heed his advice. I have no choice but to believe they have no ability to discipline themselves.

That's why I always thought it a good idea, when someone joined Skins's island and became a primitive, that they'd have to install certain software invented by the elusive enigmatic Elad, which whenever a primitive leaves there for here, it blows up the primitive's hard-drive.

I was reading this again and was noticing just how dumb this primitive is.
"and of course in their view Mr. Scorpio had to be the one in the wrong"
No one here has said Lamond did anything wrong. No one. He is a racist, however.
"in their analysis, he is the one who damaged their car - of course!"
I implied the door was damaged, but I've been the only one. That was based upon Lamond saying "to look down at my pedal, which I discovered later was smashed." It's reasonable to believe if his pedal was smashed, it probably did some damage to the car door. But that's a side issue to the whole story.
"And the man was just startled to see someone there (of any color!) "
A possibility. Prove me wrong.
"or didn't notice."

Yeah, I know all sorts of people who are afraid of "dangerous neighborhoods" who go there to get the newspaper.

According to this Primitive white people aren't supposed to be anxious when surrounded by groups of another race? Just reject the fear and be utterly protected. +Snork+
All my life I've heard how uncomfortable it is for blacks to be the only representative of their race in a white majority. It's equally uncomfortable for whites when they are in the minority. When one looks at the statistics on race and crime why wouldn't anyone of any color not be wary when found in the center of a group that makes up that very statistic. It's called common sense and self preservation.
-
If the gravy is brown, it is racist. If it's a nice milk gravy like you put on chicken fried steak then it is non racist gravy.
My white gravy is actually golden brown (I brown the flour before I add the milk)
The DUmmies may take from that what they wish.

Race relations set back decades intentionally by first black president of the US.
Not just him but the same whites who grievance monger alongside Sharpton, Wright and the rest. Where would Grayson, Pelosi, Reid and the rest be if blacks weren't disenfranchised? If blacks actually gained equal social standing in the US these idiots would have no power base.
It's not race, it's liberalism as a creed, period.
-
Crap, crap, crap, I have found the racist's to be those who find some kind of insult to them by anyone different.
Example-----The expression of OH BOY we are having Ice cream, OH Boy that was a close call, has been used for Years to denote a happy thought.
So Honolulu, I pregnant big time twisted my ankle crossing the street. Down I went and a local cop came out and helped me to the curb. I thanked him but made the mistake of saying " OH BOY that was a close one ". His reply was "Don't call me boy "
I was stunned, I tried to explain but he looked at me like I some kind of nasty person. This has bothered me for 40 years. I felt guilty for insulting a police officer that dragged me out of traffic.
Today I wonder if all this insults etc. are used as a way to control others. They can insult us but even a regional main land expression was an insult to them. True they do not know how the huge main land works, but by golly why the knee jerk reaction for a very large prego that was obviously not from that Island ?
Same here on the main land, Anyone see in the news about a white woman playing the blues on a saxophone and 3 woman came up to her and smacked her for playing black blues ? What was said was white woman should not be doing that. I think she was playing Minnie the Moocher or another Cab Callaway standard.
-

I decided not to issue a "Blind Squirrel Moment" alert, as you do seem to get flashes of lucidity more often than the progdolytes. You hit this on the head. H5.

I rarely see any non-Whites or under 40 at DU.
-
Nothing racist here, Liberal Guy, except from the storyteller and you. Yes, you.
Your little primitive friend dreams up racism over an incident where the guy driving the car more than likely wasn't even aware of what happened. Yet your racist friend thinks it's all because he's black and the driver was white.
And you defend him. Which makes you a racist, and I would gladly say it to your face and dare you to deny it.
.
I remember LiberalGuy playing the race card a lot back in the days at CU. He was also anti-Semitic. :mental:

I wish more members of DU would sign up here at CC so we could have one on one discussions about issues like this.
We don't sell stars or beg for money either!

Here's the thing, Dorkio -
1) Lets assume Zimmerman did follow Martin with a loaded weapon - is that illegal ?
2) Now Lets assume Zimmerman intended to gun down Martin. Would Zimmerman wait to get into a one-on-one fight with Martin -even though he doesn't know if Martin is also armed- or would he just take him down from a distance to keep his advantage ?
*Remember Dorkio - "Murder 2" requires intent.
Chew on that for a while DUmpmonkeys.

How sad that they take a children's story and automatically turn to "racism". How completely insecure and pathetic to see a picture of Curious George and assume it's because of race. When you're looking for racism around every corner and have decided everyone who doesn't view the world through "everyone of color is constantly a victim of racism" is automatically a racist, then I guess it makes sense. I immediately understood the bent bike reference and didn't even think "race" until the DUmmie brought it up. Besides, if we ALL evolved from apes how can they possibly decide a monkey reference is meant for just one color?
For a group who is constantly referrencing Martin Luther King (R), they spend an inordinate amount of time seeing skin color instead of "content of character". My family is a rainbow but the only people see us by race and/or skin color is my very liberal BIL & SIL. He's also one of those idiots who think the southern racists suddenly switched from left to right. I always considered people who see the world through race colored glasses to be "racist", but that's just me.
But then, only a group who views replacing the father in poor black families with the government teat, thus destroying the hope & independence of generations, compassionate (look it up DUmmies, even liberal studies show this trend beginning with the welfare program that began with the "Great Society"). Even giving LBJ the benefit of the doubt that he meant to help, there's a vast difference between a "hand up" and a "hand out". If any one of you can come here and show me how handing poor minority families a monthly check has uplifted them, then by all means, I'd love to hear it.
And using the excuse that it's "mean" Republicans fault because they never give them enough money", won't wash because there have been plenty of times (including 0bama's first 2 years) when the left had a veto proof majority and could have quadrupled the welfare budget, but did not. Perhaps the question you should ask yourselves is, "Why is the Democrat party so racist that they haven't raised welfare payments for poor minorities when they've had the chance?" Being that you folks see race and color first, you could've set it up where ONLY minorities get extra funds, since race and/or ethnicity is recorded when someone applies.
