The prosecution has already proven Zimmerman's guilt [View all]
They've exposed lie after lie that Zimmerman told. His entire defense of being in fear of his life has been debunked.
1. He lied about his reason for getting out of his car
2. He lied about Trayvon jumping out of the bushes
3. He lied about having his head repeatedly smashed on the concrete (his injuries were insignificant)
4. He lied about not knowing about Stand Your Ground
5. He likely lied about Trayvon's last words (really, who says 'You got me' after being shot in the chest?)
If he is found not guilty, it's only because the prosecution did a shitty job driving home these lies, and because of the incompetence of the Sanford PD who didn't treat this as a potential murder from the beginning.
Here we go about George Zimmerman.

2. Yes hopefully they will drill home all of those points in the closing.
The prosecution opening was so powerful, I can't
imagine they won't better it in closing.
And I've been wondering also if the prosecution has
been saving its best for cross examination of the
defense witnesses. I hope it is incisive and
unsettling to the defense.. ok I'm dreaming..

4. "the prosecution did a shitty job ..." - anyone suspect that was intentional?
or just incompetence?
or does anyone think the prosecution is doing a super job of prosecuting the case?
I haven't watched all that much, but from the commentary it sounds like they aren't doing a great job, and I started to wonder if they just don't really want to win this case. I wonder if anyone else is thinking that.

6. None of those lies are proven, though
1. We don't know what his reason for getting out of the car was. We can guess, but really nobody except GZ does, and it's not really material to the case.
2. Whether it was bushes or darkness, doesn't matter. There's been no testimony from anyone who saw GZ attack first.
3. Nothing has contradicted the notion that the head was smashed on concrete. All medical testimony agrees that injuries are consistent with being hit on concrete. Repeatedly is debatable -- again, no contradictory evidence.
4. Knowing or not knowing the law is immaterial to the crime.
5. Where is the witness that heard different words out of TM's mouth?
I'm not saying GZ isn't wrong, I'm just saying the case against him is weak, and so far GZ's story hasn't been materially contradicted by solid evidence. This case is swimming in reasonable doubt.
Going against the echo chamber.

DUmmies, can't start the revolution without a verdict of innocent.
-
Well that seals the deal, George is going to be acquitted.
DUchebags are consistent, consistently wrong.
Happy Fourth Everyone!!!

A wonderful campfire with a slap-fest to go along. :catfight:

What the DUmmies don't realize is, this is not about the creepy ass cracker and saint skittles. This is about the media using lies and influencing our government all the way up to the white house and causing them to prosecute someone just because of the race of one of the people involved. The media tried him and convicted him and all hell is going to break loose when the court doesn't.

Well huggiebear... I must have been following a different trial. Everything I have read about the testimony so far casts way more than a reasonable doubt.

It never ceases to amaze me how 2 people (or in this case groups of people) can look at the same information and come to two completely different conclusions..
I found it amusing that the items the OP declared as "facts" are merely still just matters of opinion. Another case of libs manufacturing facts to fit the desired conclusion.

Seems like a logical thing to say to me. What would be more appropriate, DUmmy hugabear? I got you?

I agree FlaGator. I base my opinion of the trial on reasonable doubt. Dunno what the dummies base theirs on. To me, the prosecution so far has not proven 2nd degree murder beyond a reasonable doubt. I did read somewhere though that manslaughter is an option for the jury. I think that charge has a better chance of sticking.
Juries are unpredictable though so one never knows. Then again, all it takes one holdout to hang the jury... assuming that it has to be unanimous. I know nothing about Florida law in regards to criminal court proceedings. In WV, all 12 jurors must agree. :cheersmate:

Geeeeeeeeeez, what a bunch of racists the DUmmies are. Here they are, persecuting a Hispanic male for defending himself against a person who was obviously a member of the tea party. Trayvon Martin was arranging a tea party rally, I'm almost sure of it.

Thanks FlaGator!!! I wasn't sure. :cheersmate: :cheersmate:
I didn't know that Fla only had 6 jurors either. If I remember my civil and criminal justice class from 10th grade... back when the dinosaurs roamed the Earth... there were like 2 or 3 states that did not require a unanimous verdict in criminal trials. Dunno about now.

The prosecution will rest today with pretty much all of their witnesses corroborating GZ's story and some were downright hostile to the prosecution. If I understand correctly the defense will now be able to call back those witnesses and ask questions they could not before. That will be fun to watch. I fully expect the left going crazier with threats of killing GZ and other random white-hispanics along with lots of rioting in honor of St. Skittles.

Weapons and ammo are going to be flying off the shelves down there faster than they are already (if that's possible). FL being a CCW shall-issue state might keep the 'revenge' attacks from happening a bit. In other states . . . not so much.

The good news is, when these children of 0bama riot, they tend to destroy their own neighborhoods and decent and civilized people are generally safe from them. :-)

Today is the first day I've had access to the trial coverage. I was listening while doing other things, but I observed that not knowing the players on either side, it sounded like both sides were for the Defense. There simply seems to be zero issues to actually Prosecute.

I never really understood the whole rioting in your own neighborhood thing, Freep. Lessee... something pisses me off so I am going to burn down the place where I live? Yep! Sounds like a winner to me!!!!
Bunch of morons if you ask me.

This phenomenon was explained after the Rodney King riots by Al Sharpton or Jesse Jackass Sr.--I can't remember which. It was claimed that they burned their neighborhoods down so they could make a fresh start and build them up better than before--sort of like Japan after WW II. Not only a big lie, but a broken window fallacy to boot.

Seems there is a new OP over there with some interesting tidbits.
Closely related to the birds post, so not going to start a new one.

Bingo! it's been like that through the whole trial.

Even ABC is talking about Zimmerman being found innocent.
When the MSM abandons the witch hunt... (http://abcnews.go.com/US/george-zimmerman-convicted-murder-manslaughter/story?id=19598422#.UdnkHz7DVoY)
I did find it curious that the URL says: "george-zimmerman-convicted-murder-manslaughter".
Wonder how long that will last. ABC at it's finest. I smell another defamation lawsuit.

I just thought it really curious Frank. I don't know if a lawsuit can even be brought on that. Hope so. The MSM really needs to take it in the hind end over their coverage of this.
Edited to fix a minor grammar error.

Even if, if, all that were true, it still doesn't prove beyond a reasonable doubt that Zimmerman wasn't in fear for his life or in fear of great bodily harm. In that respect the prosecution is a miserable failure.

It'll be interesting to see if they run with it.

Well, I'm kind of pissed off.
I specifically registered at the site (ABC), so I could point that out.
My registration was accepted, and so I commented, pointing it out.
Then some seconds later my comment evaporated.
