Title: Another day, another fabricated Limbaugh quote

Limbaugh is even sicker than I thought. What he said about firefighters...

I don't think this *******ed psychopathic turd can be taken off the air soon enough. Firefighters/first responders are priceless. They contribute everything - give everything (including their own lives) - to save lives. They don't stop to ask if the people they're saving are Christian, straight or gay or Dem or Republican, male or female (or otherwise) young or old, human or animal. They just save lives - they run in when everyone else is running out or away. That Limbaugh doesn't see the value of these kinds of people makes him a psychopath, IMO. And he leads the rest, unfortunately.

I hope that Rush sues the shit out of both the site and the individual poster for defamation of character.

As usual, taken out of context!

Quote
RUSH: You know, Axelrod was on CNN with Candy Crowley on the State of the Union show on Sunday. He said, "We need to accelerate job creation in the private sector." And then he added, "One of the ways we can do that is putting teachers and firefighters and police back to work. Because those are good, middle-class jobs." Do you realize…? Well, I'm alternately stunned and at the same time exhilarated by this, because of how explanatory this is.

All of the jobs that he listed are actually public sector jobs!

All the money for them comes right out of the private sector.

But now we know where Obama gets his economic advice from. Look, as nice as they are to have — teaching jobs, firemen, policemen — they are all paid for with money out of the private sector. They are paid for with tax revenue from citizens. They cut into the amount of money left for private sector. They don't grow the number of private sector jobs, they reduce them. Now, I've gotta very careful here. Because nobody's against teachers or firemen or cops. But those are public sector jobs.

Look at the way these people think.

They're combining two things here: A, the never-ending appeal to tax revenue for firemen, cops, and teachers. That is the education of your kids and the safety you and your house and your family. And they're trying to say that those jobs are being cut and now we're not safe and your kids aren't being educated. And that's because the private sector's been too selfish and too greedy and so forth. (pause) Look, folks, this is where I have to be very careful. Nobody's opposed to cops or firefighters or teachers.

But they aren't private sector jobs. They do not contribute to economic growth. Their purpose is otherwise. They have an entirely different purpose: Public safety, public education, this kind of thing. But there's no growth in the economy. If you add those jobs — and if there aren't other types of private sector jobs added while at the same time we're adding to the fire rolls and the cop rolls and teachers — we are reducing the size of the private sector. This is Marxism 101. It's also Ignorance and Sophistry 101.

12. The funny thing is....

(not funny ha-ha, but funny weird, of course) that I know of nobody who admits to listening to Limpy. Every RWer I know of, especially online, spouts the talking points with the best, but always denies listening to Limpy, Hanny, or Beckster.

Go figure, huh?

I listen.  Hell, I even listen when he's not on the air. Mark Steyn is my favorite sub host.

28. This is from June 12, 2012

I actually listen to the show fairly often because I'm just a political junkie and was a little surprised he would say those exact words.

Looks like he didn't.

Lets be clear I'm not defending Rush. I'm defending the facts. Facts are all we citizens have left in this bullshit storm we live in. Lets not lose them too

Of course it is - anything to distract the 'low information' crowd away from actual issues. And a stupid 'Social Media' viral picture is just the way to do that.

One of my favorite quotes involving social media comes from the show 2 Broke Girls  - "Twitter is stupid, and Instragram is Twitter for people who can't read." - Every now and then, a sitcom gets it exactly right.

Meanwhile, the "public sector jobs" with NO unions who have every bit of protection services as cops and firefighters, and arguably a lot more, the US Military, has TOO MUCH money and can't be cut soon enough for these socialist parasites.

These days the smart move is to assume that anything a socialist says (they have gone way beyond liberal at this point) should be considered a falsehood. There is absolutely no low that they unwilling to stoop to pursue they're agenda. It doesn't matter what they wreck, what rights are trampled upon, what they have to say to discredit, what tactic it takes. To them, the ends always justify the means.

50. In other words, he's saying,

"I don't like to pay taxes! (because of how that money gets used.)"

Okay, let's make a couple of exemptions for him: He will no longer have to pay any taxes. He also will no longer get to use or benefit from any of the things those public taxes provide, which happens to include the very airwaves broadcasting his radio show

Taxes provide airwaves?

Taxes provide airwaves?

Unless they carry Limbaugh on NPR, this primitive is wrong.
