Rise in gay homeless people threatens San Francisco's name as gay-friendly mecca

Quote
When “Strawberry” was ejected from his student digs in Denver, Colorado, following a rental dispute, he headed to San Francisco thinking it would provide a sanctuary for a young gay man.

Not so. After six months of living on the streets he had lost the shirt on his back – literally. Identified as an easy target he was chased, beaten and robbed of the backpack containing all his worldly goods. “He grabbed me by the hair, threw me to the ground and started dragging me,” he said of his attacker. “My shirt was ripped off and I got a black eye and a bloody nose,” he said. “San Francisco is not the gay-friendly mecca that they say it is.”

Thanks to the equality rights work of pioneers such as the politician and activist Harvey Milk, San Francisco has a reputation as the gay capital of the world. But as the city recovers from its 43rd gay Pride festival at the weekend, attended by more than 1.5 million people, it must confront an uncomfortable issue. The streets through which about 200 colourful parades – from drag queens to the motorcycle-riding Dykes on Bikes – travelled, are also home to increasing numbers of gay homeless people, many of whom are exceptionally vulnerable to prejudice and violence.

San Francisco has a lot of homeless people. Also, it is very expensive to live in.

If "Strawberry" would stop pretending he's a "Blackberry" and simply adopt the "Blueberry" as his own special god, he might find himself.....

....deep inside a cobbler.

Or the cobbler stuck clear up his ass.

Fruit loop fudgepackers. In your grocery's freezer.   :whatever:

San Francisco is so expensive that I can't imagine anyone with iffy financials deciding to live there.  Way to guarantee your own failure.

One of my buddies worked in San Fagcisco for a while, designing the electrical systems for BART.

He took a bus for a test drive, and one of the fags getting serviced jumped on the front bumper and started raging.

My buddy called the cops, they came, and they asked why the fag was so pissed at my buddy.

He said, "He's not pissed at ME, he's pissed off at the ****ing BUS!" Sure as hell, the fag was pissed at the bus. The cops pried the fag off the bus and took him away.

My bud said it was the happiest day in his life when he moved back to the Chicago area.

Either my give-a-shit meter is broke, or just pegged on zero.

Nope--it's just pegged on zero.

What a moron. It sounds like he was expecting to be taken care of just because he was gay. Oh and a large city being dangerous to a homeless person? Imagine that. Those Rockies libs are definitely among the strangest of the breeds. Must be the thin air.

He doesn't live in Chicago, but he's close enough. He's an electrician for METRA.

Where the heck did a sexual choice come in to the world as a civil right, men have the right to satisfy  their needs with anything they can out run

I choose to live and breed with Men.   So big deal, what does this have to do with my neighbors or friends, my jobs or any other part of my life ? I do not spend my life on the streets telling everyone I screw men, occasionally, Sex is a very small part of my life, it is fun but not an everyday necessity.

Just how big is a sexual choice in the mind of men and woman, does this choice determine every thing they do 24/7.

I am not on the streets rallying a march for males that have children to counter the gay parades.   Not am I assembling woman for a Prego march.

The world is so strange, just waiting for the Pedophiles to hold a march and all caressing male and female dolls or actual children by their side demanding the right to Marry a 4 year old.

Society is not moving into enlightenment,  it is going backward to the times of the very reason Jesus came to us.

This is an aberration of humans, as it is in the Animal world, scientists get very worried when a species will not breed.  Is this a population control of some sort we do not understand ?
