Solar Panels to be installed on Whitehouse Roof!
Solar Panels to be installed on Whitehouse Roof!
by beach babe in fl
Finally, Carter's solar panels are coming back! So says President Obamas new Climate Action Plan.
This is symbolic of the President taking leadership on Climate. Well done.
Sorry this is short but important element in new plan deserved recognition.

1. Good.
maybe some RW asshat wont remove them this time.
I wonder where they are getting the money to do this, I thought we were under sequester and the federal government was broke and stuff.
I wonder how many SNAP payments to illegal aliens could have been made with the money spent on this. :-)

Deja vu. Isn't this from 2010?

The article at the daily Kos is dated today.

Where are the White House's Solar Panels?
Jun. 21, 2011
Last fall, after a persistent campaign by enviros, the Obama administration agreed to install solar panels on the roof of the White House. In response to the request from 350.org, Energy Secretary Steven Chu promised that solar panels and a solar hot water heater would grace the roof of the First Family's residence "by the end of this spring." But today's the first day of summer, and there's still no solar.

Heh. So much for promises.

At least back then America had the sense not to give Carter a second chance. Now? Too many takers, not enough makers. Sadly, America's better days are long gone. I give it another 30-40 years and then we become Greece. Hope I ain't around to see it.

30 to 40 years? You are a lot more optimistic than I am then. I say we have 5 to 10 years before we are Greece.

I say 5-10 MONTHS.
So, will these solar panels produce enough juice to charge Barry's IPhone?
-
If Obama truly believes in solar power, then he should order the White House disconnected from the grid and be powered on solar only. To do less is to not show faith in solar power.
-
I'm surprised Obamo's puppeteers haven't fitted him with a hat with a solar panel -- anything to make him brighter.

There's no way he would have done something as visibly moonbattish before the 2012 election.

And this will provide jobs how exactly? ???

And I would call that optimistic. It's completely unreal.

I'll be so glad when this ****ing posturing, posing, moonbat administration is out of office. I just read today where the military is promoting Gay Pride Month. Really? REALLY? Since when has it been the military's responsibility to get involved in celebrating or exalting a sexual preference, and a perverted one at that? You know where this shit is coming from and it ain't the military itself, except possibly the political animals at the JCOS. God help us.

Awwwww, how cute, gotta love people who care about the environment.

All that mess after a 49 minute speech? It looks like an Occupy camp. What a bunch of pigs.

That's where the press corps was standing.

Maybe Carter could give owebuma one of his sweaters. Plonk it on to the president's desk.
-
I am so sick of those liberal slobs leaving their shit lying all over the place after each and every event. They are posted all over the net afterwards, and aside from a few "tsk tsk's" it happens again and again.

It's symbolic, so therefore your post is racist.

I've got three words for you, promised kept.[/joebiden]

I bet they won't produce enough electricity to straighten the hair of the Obama women.

Well guys... I base it on this:
There is still a lot of taxation to be done before we implode. The VAT will become a reality... probably in 10 years. The question will be if food stamps will be exempt. If not, then that will bring in a good chunk of change from people that are currently not paying any taxes. It will also bring in the so called underground economy. Even crooks got to eat and buy ass paper and such.
The federal government will continue spending more and more though as the takers finally become such a solid majority that no fiscal conservative can ever get elected. Then the VAT will be raised... and raised... and raised... until it gets so high that it literally cannot be raised anymore. When that happens America goes under.
Look at Britain. That is our future down the road about 25 years and Greece about 15 years after that. :banghead: :banghead:

There may or may not be a VAT tax, but if Barry gets his way, we may get a Carbon Tax, which is much more insidious. At least your state's junior senator understands what that would mean for WV's economy. I hope he has balls enough to oppose the mainstream dims if such a policy threatens to become a reality.
My senators, Warner and Kaine, on the other hand, are too f'n stupid to breathe.

Expect Manchin to be a good little dem and fall in line with obumbles. He caved on gun control, he will cave on the carbon tax.
As it is, APCO is shuttering 2 coal fired plants around the upper Kanawha Valley thanks to the damn EPA. Now they are going to have to spend 337 million to redo some main transmission lines. Guess who gets to pay? Yep! The customers.
And if John Amos has a problem during peak power usage, which around here is in the winter, expect rolling black outs. It happened back in 96.
Another pet bitch of mine is the government wants the power companies to build natural gas plants... and then they spend 10 years sitting on the permit process!!!!
On the other hand, I guess we will get to watch the dummies in Ohio, Kentucky and WV cry a river due to power being more expensive. Won't hurt me too much as I heat with gas. Gets a little expensive in the summer though.

The elected and appointed officials should be the first to suffer for their poor legislation and governance. There ought to be a law.

Fixed that for ya zombie! :cheersmate:

Yeah, Manchin is a good little toadie for Barry and JayJay. He'll roll over whenever his masters tell him to, as much as they tell him to.
Which 2 are they shutting down? I've run RT.2 and RT.35 from Winfield to Pt. Pleasant to Ravenswood. I know of 2 small plants along the Ohio River between Pt. Pleasant and Ravenswood. Are they the ones?
I've seen John Amos from both sides of the river, from Poca, it looks like you are right underneath those cooling towers! I have to bite the bullet as well during the summer, but I heat with wood.
I hope DUmmies freeze to death come winter, especially if Barry gets his globull warming agenda passed. My light bill has almost DOUBLED since 2007, so much so, that I installed an electric water heater to replace my gas one, because propane has TRIPLED! (No NG line close to my residence, I live in the boonies! :-))
