The Obama administration is suing Dollar General and a BMW facility in South Carolina for the alleged unfair use of criminal background checks for job applicants, months after warning companies about how such screenings can discriminate against African Americas.

I wonder how this works for us that hire people to mow the lawn or come in to do heavy cleaning of our homes or apartments.

Say you have young children or grand kids that visit often, just a few strokes on the key board will tell you if the people have any kind of record, theft, up to sexual molesters. Is it your fault you do not hire them for their past ? 

So businesses with big inventory want to insure their workers will not steal from them or some how got around the drug test and can be a danger to others.  To do a check on the applicants is RACIEST  ????

This country has gone upside down, one has the right to hire anyone they choose to and insure that person is not a criminal and make sure the person can do the job they are paid to do and not get YOU sued for their actions.

Nope, the EEOC had released a statement previously that they believed using background checks were illegal.  If the president can't pass a background check, no one should have to.

Wouldn't the gun laws be discriminatory as well, since it will be mostly black people (using their logic) who are criminals?

I'm not black and I'm insulted by this.  The incarceration rate tied to government policies, and their blaming game avoids the causal issues.
