Oh my.
I've been negligent in hanging around here (but not negligent in hanging around incognito among the primitives), and thought I should put the cooking and baking primitives, along with their seditious sentiments, on display again.

1. Hey DB!
Nice to see you in C & B.
Thanks for the links. Occasionally I find a recipe that is all in metric and it just befuddles me.

3. Mostly here and religion - two extreme ends of DU, lol.
I read elsewhere, but don't participate much. I go to religion to debate and challenge and here to be with friends and get/receive support.
Hope you will come here more often.

5. Well, you might expand your horizons if you hang around here.
Lots of great ideas for simple, delicious meals. Lots of ideas about cooking for one or two.
Hope you have been well.

6. I'm not dead yet (Monty Python sketch)
I am well and I hope you are too.
My beautiful daughter graduated Magna cum Laude from Seton Hall and is going to Columbia on an accelerated masters course.
She is the reason I live
in addition to me kitties and doggies.
Thanks for asking my friend.

7. Big, big congratulations to both your daughter and you.
One of our daughters graduated from Columbia School of Journalism few years ago and had an incredible experience. It's not just that the school is superior, living in NYC is a priceless experience for a young adult. You must be very, very proud (in addition to being a great father).

Note to the brain-damaged primitive, when he comes around here, as he inevitably will:
The first link doesn't work, either here or there in the campfire itself.
If the brain-damaged primitive's using my distinguished alma mater as a source for his tripe, I'll put his balls in a thimble, and grind them up.

Sounds like a bunch of 1% talk to me. :fuelfire:

Sounds like they should make room on the boat for those two.

But mostly for one because the DUches are so vile nobody can stand to spend time with them.

Such as when Dennis the Menace wandered into the kitchen from the nuthatch, and offered up:
Pasta Zero by Nasoya. It is a shirataki noodle - made from tofu and other stuff. It has only 40 calories in a package, which is 1 1/3 cups. It has a strange odor out of the package, but you rinse it and that goes away. Very neutral flavor, slightly softer than semolina pasta.
and of course:

2. Tofu and Vegetable Lo Mein
And there was a very odd-sounding salad recipe from annabanana:
1. Chickpea & Chicken salad!
• 2 large romaine hearts, washed and chopped
• 1 cup pulled cooked chicken breast
• 1 (15.5 oz) can chickpeas, rinsed and drained
• 1 cup grape tomatoes, sliced in half
• 3/4 cup sweet corn (I grilled mine)
• 1/4 cup crumbled goat cheese
• 1/3 cup cilantro, washed and chopped
• 1 small avocado, diced
• 1/2 cup BBQ dressing, if desired
Instructions
1. In a large bowl add lettuce, top with all ingredients except for avocado and BBQ dressing. Toss salad gently.
2. Place into cold salad bowls. Garnish with diced avocado and drizzle with BBQ dressing if desired. Serve with low-fat corn tortilla strips.
Is she dousing this mess with barbecue sauce? :mental: Yuck on the chick peas.

I'm sure the reference to Nebraska was not an accident.

Just be thankful he abandoned the use of "goggie".

WOW! so much for caring for the oppressed, Columbia University is kicking that poor Chinese Dissident Professor to the curb for self serving reasons, screw the rights of those who need it the most.
