Delegate’s reversal stuns party

Wisconsin Democrat now publicly supports McCain

Washington - As an avid supporter of Hillary Rodham Clinton in the Democratic primaries, Debra Bartoshevich is not alone in her frustration over Clinton's defeat.

She’s not alone in refusing to support Barack Obama.

And she’s not entirely alone in saying she’ll vote this fall for Republican John McCain instead.

But what makes her unusual is that she holds these views as an elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention in Denver this summer.

There's lots more at the link . . . http://www.jsonline.com/story/index.aspx?id=762052&format=print

I've always thought that McCain was the best Democrat of the three running for President this year.

This is the strangest election. Hillary supporters are pissed that their candidate lost and conservatives are pissed because they don't like McCain. When election day comes, I do not think there will be that many cross-over voters;Repubs will vote for Repubs & Democ. will vote for Democ.; the left wing liberal tree humphing loons are the only ones that are happy about their candidate.

Yeah, I really don't expect there'll be much of this, supporters of the worthier Democrat candidate voting for the Republican candidate in November.  There'll be some, and maybe enough to make a marginal difference, but not a whole lot.

Most supporters of the worthier Democrat candidate will probably fall in line, despite all the abuse and mistreatment and ill-treatment and maltreatment they've gotten from the Obamaites.

Right now, I'm guessing about 75% of those who supported the worthier Democrat candidate will vote for Barry "Goldwater" Obama, about 10% will vote for John McCain, and the rest just not vote for president at all (of course voting for the lower end of the ticket).

There's no point in trying to solicit those changing from the worthier Democrat candidate to McCain, and in fact too much attention by Republicans to these people might be counter-productive.  They should just be left alone, to slip into the fold quietly.

The "potential" lies in the third group, those supporters of the worthier Democrat candidate choosing to not vote for president at all.

Surely their numbers could be doubled, and that can best be done by constantly reminding the supporters of the worthier Democrat candidate about all the abuse and Hate they got from the Obamaites.

By the way, this is nothing new.

When the Nebraska Democrats had their stupid caucuses in February, one county Democrat chairman publicly admitted that he was voting for Barry "Goldwater" Obama in the caucuses, but for John McCain in the general election.  I was surprised he was so open and frank about it, but it scarcely created a ripple among Democrats, so probably there's a lot of this going on underneath the surface.

What about the people that voted for her as a delegate in their state's primary?  Is the Wisconsin Democratic party willing to disenfranchise their own voters so quicly?

That is only if you believe what he says about the types of judges he will recommend.  I am not sure that I do.

I would have to agree with them on this.

She should have just shut up and stayed home.  I really don't like this behavior of there of trashing the home team to the outside world.  This was the disguzzzting behavior that we all get upset about when Bill did it in london, and for that matter when Suzan Sarandon does it, saying how bad the home team is to the outside world and not doing much internally to make it better.

If you are part of the team,  you are part of the team.  My guys when right are to be kept right, when wrong are to be made right, but my guys right or wrong...

But it is funny that they get slammed like this.  Sause for the goose and all that.

well, he may not be able to land a Scalia but whoever THEY are they'll be better than the Ginzbergs that BHO would send up.  its all relative and I'll settle for a little rightward movement.  especially after that horrible Gitmo decision.
