Title: Nutcase nadin Excited About Fatness Disease

Well, there's news on obesity, and as you can imagine, the crazy bald dwarf is all over it:

Obesity is a disease, doctors’ group says Maggie Fox

The American Medical Association officially designated obesity as a disease on Tuesday – a disease that requires medical treatment and prevention.

The organization doesn’t have any kind of official say in the matter, but it’s influential nonetheless, and the vote of the AMA’s policy-making House of Delegates is one more step in the evolution of social attitudes towards obesity.

“Recognizing obesity as a disease will help change the way the medical community tackles this complex issue that affects approximately one in three Americans,” AMA board member Dr. Patrice Harris said in a statement.

Hey, it's a disease. Got nothing to do with 5000 calories a day, it's just a disease.

I'm a little surprised that nutcase nadin is so excited about this.

Even though she has the physique (and height) of a pumpkin on a pair of popsicle sticks, she's repeatedly told us that she's at her optimum weight.

She even said her doctor agreed. Doctor Demento.

Maybe she's noticed the fame of Betty Ford.

Someday, maybe we'll see the Nadin Brzhshzheshinski Center for Fat, Bald, Crazy Dwarfs.

One-stop treatment for fatness, baldness, and craziness - plus growth hormone.

Put down the fork, cook your own healthy meals, eat in moderation, drop the six cans of soda a day, drink more water, oh and try exercising... that "disease" will be gone in a few months.

I'm a little surprised that nutcase nadin is so excited about this.

I have a theory.

If obesity is a disease, then gNads can say "I can't help it, it's a disease". Much like people who offer mental health diagnoses to excuse bad behavior, or the person who claims to be hypoglycemic in order to excuse eating lots of carbs.

gNads can stuff her kolache-hole with pastries and Taco Bell, and it's not her fault.

If obesity is a disease then look for more government intrusion into everyone's lives.

This should make my weight loss thread famous. But let's remember when a sister organization removed homosexuality from the list of mental diseases.

I believe there is more to obesity then just eating.

Why can some people pack in 2,000 calories twice a day and stay slim and trim and others eat 1,000 calories a day gain weight  ?

Gut bacteria is interesting, oldest son had it bad with ulcers.    Before they tracked down the cause of the ulcers he found that eating a bowl of raisin bran for breakfast really helped.   Just one brand other brands did nothing for him.

When I get indigestion I take a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar, old time home remedy, and in 20 minutes the pain is gone.

Today's theory is bad bacteria cannot survive in an acid environment.   Then the theory that the acid stimulates the out put in Peptides causing them to produce more to coat the stomach.   Those antacids, Tums for one just do the job that our sluggish
glands should be doing and they slow way down, a good shot of acid wakes them up, sort of like fighting fire with fire.

Diet and exercise=treatment and prevention in 90% of the cases. Throughout our lives we may have hormonal changes and instabilities that make it harder to accomplish that and there are obviously some very extreme thyroid or other glandular issues that can do it regardless, but this certainly is not the case for the MAJORITY of people overweight. The majority simply need to eat less/differently and move more...period. I get so tired of this bs. I remember people asking me how I did it and what I did and every one of them got disheartened at the answer. People watch the biggest loser and rah rah them on, but I don't think they really realize just how hard those folks are working. Some of those activities are grueling and depending on your endurance, strength, and ability by 2 minutes in you start crying mama for the average person. I really don't think a lot of people internalize what they are seeing--those people don't just become tone, thin, average, normal weight overnight---they sweat, push themselves, change their lifestyles, and still struggle with emotional triggers everyday to get and stay where they are.

The ONLY caveat I will give is emotional eaters. In many cases, those people probably require counseling as well to deal with the coping skills they are using for stressful situations in the same way a smoker might use smoking for the same purposes. Use eating as a coping mechanism and gain 100 lbs. And that is another 'branch' to the prescription above and the reason I think some people can go up 50, 60, 70 lbs and then lose it again because they never deal with that coping mechanism and when things get stressful they use eating to cope again and the pounds pile on.

I just examined the photo more closely. Looks like coach is holding some sort of pinwheels which could probably be considered a handheld assault windmills. Since there are multiple pinwheels per handle I guess this is the fully automatic version.  Just think of the destruction when all of those 'blades' come flying off.

Some people metabolize a lot quicker than others. Don't know why. Ask a healthcare professional. I eat everything in site and drink like a fish and have never been over 195 at 5'11". I also stopped running the day before 27Apr00.

We both have our own specialties.  I'm starting the family out on a Mediterranean diet soon, so I'll be doing almost all of the cooking at that point.

Same here Rebel... except I'm 6'3" and 210. I was so daggone skinny back in the day that it was hard to find pants to fit me.  Weighed 160 until I hit 32. Put another 20 until I hit 38. Was good until I hit 40 and then put on about 5 pounds every other year until I hit my current weight.

<------Has extremely high metabolism, is pretty buff, and worked out if you've seen me, takes in 3000 calories, and am a petite 135, unfortunately. If I could at least gain 20lbs, it'd be muscle.

You ain't got cancer, gNads. You ain't even got the disease known as alcoholism. However, you do have a lack of self restraint, and that's the only problem here. I'm a raging alcoholic. Solution: I now know that I must not drink ONE DROP! You are a fat bitch. Solution....
