Dad/Daughter Shooting Day Held at AZ Range

The second annual "Take Your Daughter to the Range Day" was held at Shooter's World in Phoenix over the weekend.

The national event was aimed at promoting gun safety through education. It also enabled families "to spend quality time together through this experience," according to a news release distributed by Shooter's World.

"As a female working in the firearms industry, it is a pleasure to be able to host an event such as this that will allow young ladies of all ages to learn the importance of safe firearms handling while hopefully empowering them to make their mark on a formerly male-dominated sport," said Shooter's World owner and CFO Lisa Roux.

"We truly hope our customers will take this opportunity to introduce their daughters to shooting, or continue to help them grow their shooting skills, in a safe and fun environment," Roux added.

Christopher Durfee was one of the dads who took his daughter, Robin Lynn, to the shooting range. He said the highlight was "seeing her nail the target in the head three times."

1. that girl robin

Is way to young to be shooting guns.

Did they not have an age cutoff?
Yet, you want birth control for under 18.

21. It's Arizona. If you hate immigrants, they'll let you practice on targets resembling humans

at any age.
A lot of Arizona bashing.  :mental:

25. Do you have to sign an affidavit

that you hate immigrants?

Seems that under 18 needs to be accompanied by an adult. They don't have a cutoff age

They also have some targets to download that some people would take issue with

just like my father did with us kids, I started taking my kids out shooting when they turned age 7.
Great bonding experience and they had alot of fun shooting the .22 rifle and .410 shotgun.

Of course, I tightly supervised my kids, just as my father tightly supervised us.
Someone going against the echo chamber.

18. Could be worse, they could be playing video games, like doom

or watching crime shows and such on TV.

How's that Amish lifestyle working out?

As someone who learned to shoot a few months, ago, I wish my dad, had done that with me...when I was younger. I loved learning and shooting, I am still saving up for my own..Pink lady or .38 special with natural wooden grip...

I started teaching my kids at age 7.  The first thing I taught them was how to safely clear the weapon and how to clean it.  I also stress respecting the weapon, I constantly remind them that a gun is a dangerous tool and can hurt and kill when it isn't handled properly.  Then I stress how to properly aim and shoot.  My daughter is 10 and can take a little .22 and just about shoot the wings off a mosquito.

Of course, she doesn't understand the marxist dialectic like a liberal kid, but she's aware of it.  When I told her about it she said, "That's silly."

My daddy taught me at around the same age. He also took me hunting and fishing with him. I look back on those memories a lot, and I cherish those times. I still have my daddy, thank goodness; but I know once he's gone I will always have those memories.

Those are the memories I want to create with my daughter.  She's 5 1/2 now.

That would be awesome! Even if she doesn't really enjoy fishing (my sister hated baiting the hook, for instance); the bonding time cannot be taken away.

Are you familiar with this song? I think of my daddy every time I hear it.

Yes, I am.  And my daughter wants to go fishing.  We might not have the spots to be able to do that, but we find ways to have the bonding time.

Does that mean I can say ' I'm not gay and I feel left out on Gay Pride day ', so it should be banned ?

When is "Take a Duer to the Gun Range" day?

Two of my three started shooting with me at 7.  The third just didn't "feel" ready.  The responsibility of it all intimidated her.  I didn't push.  Figures she is the one now involved in training other ladies in gun safety and participates the most of any of us in target shooting.

What's the "cutoff age" for abortions and "morning after" pills, shitlicker!

Does your under 18 daughter have to notify you in either case?

Do you get to accompany her to Planned Parenthood?

ESAD, DUmbass!
