The Hamburger Hill battle was on the edge of the A Shau in 1969 and I believe the Fire Base Ripcord battle in 1970 was near there also, so it's possible the DUmmy was there, I guess. But then, one always has to remember Frank's admonition about DUmmies and lies. :clueless:

I thought in another thread he said he was born in '52. Going to look now.
Impossible, but it wouldn't surprise me.
This is the guy who was 8 years in the military, ending in 1972.
Which meant he joined when he was 14 or 13 or 12 years old.
To me, 1950 seems the most credible date.

I always figured TiT was involved in the Democrat-version of "The Plumbers" and was intentionally kept away from the media types by the policy makers.

WTF That fight was done mostly by elements of the 101st Airborne. One of them was the unit I was in later on in the 1980s. Co C 3rd Bn 187th INF and her sister units the 501st and 506th Infantry. Sorry but no loser Navy SEAL wannabe was even near that place.

EDIT, I know you know that, just saying. I don't think 11 Bravo as ever claimed to be in the Navy.

I've been publically doubting his claim since he 1st made it. We were at CU at the time. I think 11 Boo watches too much TV.

I don't know, either, especially since he mentions at least six and maybe eight times in other posts of recent vintage that his "crazy ex-girlfriend" and Russert's wife were friends. In one of those posts, TiT says Mo Russert had once visited the house he shared with the CEG (who sounds less and less crazy all the time for having dumped him). Claimed Mo even liked his music. Terrible missed opportunity, I think. He could have had another handy-dandy dead person at his disposal like Molly Ivins or Tom Snyder to use as an unassailable mouthpiece to spread made-up crap about other celebrities. (my good friend Molly once told me that Hillary is a lesbian...my best friend Snyder had all kinds of stories about how Nancy Reagan used to service men in the back of convertibles running up and down the Pacific Coast Highway...). Russert went and died unexpectedly, spoiling TiT's chances to put the "close brush with fame" fix in, and parlay it into a long, intimate association, pre-mortem.
