I am a Grumpy Dog tonight.
My knee hurts like hell. I found a couple of Lortabs left over from last year's knee surgery, but they didn't help.
I didn't go shopping today, because my knee hurt, so I don't have anything fun and easy in the cupboard or refrigerator. No chocolate either. Eating a bowl of green beans would not improve my mood.
I didn't even open the folder on my Western novel tonight. I would probably write something like, Bass Reeves drew his .45, held it sideways, pointed it at the schoolmarm, and yelled out, "I'm gonna bust a cap in yo' pasty ass, bitch!" And it would not be good for my protagonist to go gangsta. I don't want to read it tomorrow and have to rewrite the dialog.
On the plus side, Velvet is snoring at my feet, which always puts a smile on my face.
Maybe a bourbon and cigar will de-grumpify me.
