Broccoli salad: broccoli, bacon, almonds, peas, red onions, raisons. Am I missing anything?

1. Make sure you blanch the peas and broccoli to fix that bright green color and eliminate any bitterness (especially in the broccoli).

2. Thanks. I will do that for sure. Do you have to blanch the peas if they are frozen? Can you just let them thaw?

3. Frozen veg are usually blanched before freezing
Again, it's to set that vibrant green color.

5. My recipe adds grapes and celery
To the broccoli, bacon, raisins and sunflower seeds (or almonds). A simple mayo-vinegar-sugar dressing. No peas. I will take the suggestion of blanching the broccoli as the raw stuff can be bitter.
Totally love the crunchy-chewy-sweet-salty blend of this stuff plus it's (kinda) healthy!

7. I love this salad too
The only problem with its popularity is taking a bowl of it to a potluck and seeing two or three other bowls there too!

Screw Broccoli. I hate it.
Oh now, don't be so negative.
I still hate Broccoli. Cauliflower too. I like spinach and kale though... does that count?
No.
Dayum!!!! Hard core ain't ya?
Broccoli salad? F'n seriously?
There are two ways to eat broccoli--raw dipped in ranch dressing, or cooked with a cheese sauce. Period.

Does Guinness & Cheese Soup with broccoli and bacon count as "cooked with a cheese sauce"?
On nom nom.
I don't care how you tart it up, raw broccoli tastes like lawn clippings.
