O.K. I’ll say it.. What’s with the American Flags all over the destruction areas?
I certainly didn’t see flags all over the Federal Building when it was destroyed by Terrorists in 1995.

These American flags just don’t make sense to me..

Does this tragedy have a connection to Nationalism? Are all future disasters in this country going to be conflated with 911.

Somebody please explain...

Because it is a different part of the country, with a different mind set than that of dummie land.  Out here in fly over country, saying the pledge is OK,  saying a prayer before an event is OK.  Putting signs out on the highway proclaiming that abortion is bad is OK.  The second amendment is OK and thought of as a good thing. 

It is good that planes can fly from Boston to LA so these cretins do not have to venture into the heart of the beast.

Deep down, in the festering cesspool of thier inner selves, this chafes them to no end.  Every blue zone incident comes with whining victim ploys, looting, murder overwhelmingly committed by the politically protected and an endless parade of faux victims screaming for the government to come and tighten their bibs.  They see it and it embarrasses them, but they'll never admit it, of course. 

Red zone?  Self-reliance, perseverance and actual community cohesion and self-help.  The only calls to the government are for those things government is supposed to do, which to most of us red zoners means "Get the f*** out of the way."

That's what the flags are about, (D)ipshit.

I've been to the site where the Murrah Federal Building stood in Oklahoma City.  I found the "memorial" to be a disgusting monument to the accomplishments of some now-never-to-be-forgotten mass murderers.  It's creepy.

I keep asking myself why the federal building was not rebuilt.  That would be more in the spirit of Oklahoma and it's stoic citizens.  I don't think the site is as sacred to Oklahoma City as the federal government would like it to be.

Just my two-cents.

You know something, I've always gotten boiling mad when I see DUmmies burning the U.S. flag......now that the DUmbshits are wrapping themselves in the flag and trying to claim that they are the patriotic ones.....I might change my mind about throwing a little gas on the flag and burning it.....along with the contents of course.

More of the usual treason from the DUmmies. Even when one of their own is in office, they still hate America. Still, at least he didn't stoop low enough to refer to it as "Jingoism."

I watched an interview with one of the students in the elementary school that was demolished. He said everyone prayed as the tornado moved over head. My first thought was, will the ACLU file suit for praying ?


Our country has laws to change leaders by election, but I am getting so jaded that I wonder if we can make it to the next presidential election without violence. The communism and fascism is getting almost too much to bear.

The second is, Oklahoma being a red state, they wanted to see their peoples' morale crushed and a groveling admission that they needed the federal government to take their hand and reassure them as if they were frightened children. They want to see crying people sobbing, "Where is FEMA? Why isn't anyone from the government helping us?", so they could dance on their misery and snark loud and long about how the "tea baggers" are suddenly crying out for Uncle Sam.

Flying the flag as a way to say, "We're still here, and our spirit is not broken!" galls them to no end.

Our wind is tough on flags. Even the hardware has became unsecured. I keep putting them up!

Our town has a few huge and very tall flags in a couple hotel/casino parking lots that can be seen for miles. It's pretty awesome.

The huge flag at the Terrible's on Rainbow/Blue Diamond had to take their flag down because of the really strong winds a few weeks ago.  I think something actually broke on the pole itself.  I'm hoping it's fixed soon and they get a new flag up ASAP!  I hate not seeing that huge flag flying there every day.
