And the plot thickens
The Department of Justice (DOJ) Inspector General published a new report Monday that confirms former U.S. Attorney for Arizona Dennis Burke leaked a document intended to smear Operation Fast and Furious scandal whistleblower John Dodson.
The DOJ IG said it found “Burke’s conduct in disclosing the Dodson memorandum to be inappropriate for a Department employee and wholly unbefitting a U.S. Attorney.â€
“We are referring to OPR our finding that Burke violated Department policy in disclosing the Dodson memorandum to a member of the media for a determination of whether Burke’s conduct violated the Rules of Professional Conduct for the state bars in which Burke is a member,†the IG wrote.
Burke resigned from his post as U.S. Attorney over the incident in August 2011, the first major Department of Justice official to leave his or her post in the Fast and Furious scandal. He said after the fact, in interviews with congressional investigators, that he now views leaking the document as a “mistake.â€

I swear, the actions of this current administration make me long for the honesty and dignity of the Clinton White House.

Hell, you have some idea then how many times I have reflected wistfully for the heady days of the Carter presidency. :whatever:

The former U.S. Attorney for Arizona could be disbarred, after an investigation found he lied to the Justice Department about his role in trying to discredit the federal whistle-blower who exposed the botched gun-running scheme known as Fast and Furious.
An Office of Inspector General report showed that Dennis Burke -- the former chief of staff for Homeland Security Secretary Janet Napolitano appointed as U.S. Attorney for Arizona by President Obama in September 2009 -- lied when asked if he leaked sensitive documents to the press meant to undermine the credibility of ATF whistle-blower John Dodson.
The IG report also said Burke likely leaked the memo in retaliation for Dodson's whistle-blowing, and challenged the credibility of statements he made to congressional investigators. Dodson first went to Congress in 2010 after his own agency and the Justice Department refused to investigate his complaints that Operation Fast and Furious, an anti-gun-trafficking effort, was out of control.

This entire regime is rotten to the core and does nothing that isn't politically motivated or done to protect Obama.

Don't matter. Historic presidency. And Bush did it.

This administration is making the Nixon administration look like a bunch of choirboys. Hell, throw the Harding and Grant administrations in with that too.
Even LBJ is rolling over in his grave, wondering what it would have been like to be able to get away with crap like this.

Being disbarred isn't so much of a punishment for most of these assclowns. I mean, Clinton was disbarred, the O's surrendered their licenses in lieu of disbarrment, so it can't be all bad, right?
