Strange that growing potatoes from chunks with eyes was not on the list, though sweet potatoes were.

I've regrown green onions from the roots, handy to have on a windowsill. If you plant garlic cloves you will eventually get an entirely new bulb of garlic, not just the shoots.

Years ago, I kept my potatoes under the sink. One had rolled out of sight. My son was little at the time when he found it. He was delighted and said that he had found his very own reindeer plant. :-)

I grow lemongrass in a container in the garden...It is a multi-use plant, first great in Asian food. Second take the blade and crush it in your hand and rub on your skin for a natural form of mosquito repellent....does not last long about the time it takes to get the grill going and finish cooking, but you can always reapply.
