Federal agents arrested a Saudi Arabian traveler who arrived at Detroit Metropolitan Airport with a pressure cooker, a key component used in the Boston Marathon bombings last month.

They actually examined the perp's passport and noticed a page was missing. I've been through dozens of international checkpoints in my life and at NO time did one of those border guys actually count the number of pages in my passport.
Furthermore, who is the hell buys a pressure cooker in the duty free shop? :loser:

BELCHERTOWN (CBS) – Shortly after midnight Tuesday, seven people were caught trespassing at the Quabbin Reservoir.
State Police say the five men and two women are from Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, and Singapore, and “cited their education and career interests†for being in the area. The men told police they were chemical engineers and recent college graduates.
The Quabbin, in Belchertown, is one of the country’s largest man-made public water supplies. Boston’s drinking water comes from the Quabbin and the Wachusett Reservoirs.
State Police say there were no warrants or advisories on any of the individuals and “there was no evidence that the seven were committing any crime beyond the trespassing.â€
All seven were allowed to leave and will be summonsed to court for trespassing. The FBI is investigating and routine checks of public water supplies have been increased following the incident.
The seven individuals currently live in Amherst, Cambridge, Sunderland, Northampton and New York City. Police have not released their names because a court date has not been set.

If they actually have them in the duty-free shop, quite a few people must. Those shops don't stock stuff that people don't buy.
Honestly sounds stupid as Hell to me, did they think he was going to go to the airport fireworks shop or airport gun store and buy a bunch of low explosive to fill it with?

Told you, IMO, this had nothing to do with a nephew, or a duty-free shop. This was a probe to see how the TSA would react.

'Zackly. Schlepping a pressure cooker in checked baggage sounds beyond stupid. Dragging one with you on the plane and through all the super-crypto-scanning hardware, not to mention the digital exam, sounds lightyears beyond stupid.
