Just like every holiday and tradition this country has the DUmmies have to find some reason to be oppressed by mother's day.

Yeah the nerve of people showing their moms a little appreciation for all the sacrifices moms have made for their kids. :mental:
Just because people show appreciation to some people does not mean that they hate other people. I swear the left is full of nothing but 5 year old children who demand that everything be about them.

33. I don't think the author is calling for activism
I got it from a woman who is an Episcopalian pastor and runs an organization that advocates for keeping abortion legal. She posted it because it ties into the stigma against women who have abortions.
As long as there are people with a conscience and who value human life, women who choose to murder their own offspring will be stigmatized.

So I guess ya all dummies were grown in a test tube, huh?
Good gravy just when I think the dummies have hit the bottom of the well they bring in a backhoe and start digging deeper.

That those with children are more important than those without
Yep.
I'd still be more important than you even if I didn't have a child.
-
Someone sounds bitter.

Hey DUmmie!
Some of us decent people in the world actually appreciate our Mothers. Some, like me, miss their own mother because they have left this world and can now focus on their wives who are the Mothers of our children. They sacrifice so much to actually bring us into this world and nurture us until we are capable of caring for ourselves.
This is something you baby killing commies hate so suck it DUmmie!

I am a woman who has not yet gotten married or been blessed with a child. I cannot even begin to imagine the sacrifices my mother has made for me and my sister. She almost died in both births, and the continuous sacrifice she made in raising us I will never understand until I am a mother. What a disrespectful dim. Wow.
-
Hey dummies, Mother's Day is for women who sacraficed themselves out of love for their children, it's not for the mothers who sacraficed their children out of love for themselves.
There's a special place in hell for you. :fuelfire:

DUmmies hate Mothers Day because it reminds them of the trail of mangled, aborted fetuses they've left in their wake.
If it were up to them, every Mothers Day card would read: "Thank you for not aborting me. I know my original mass of non-viable tissue placed you in dire medical peril for nine months, and I made your life a living hell of financial and personal responsibility afterwards. Please forgive me and take solace in the knowledge that at least there'll be one more payer into the Social Security system to help support you in your old age."
Or how about an Abortion Day?:
"On behalf of your aborted child, 'I may have grown up financially disadvantaged, or worse, became a Republican! Thanks!'"
"Glad you didn't have to postpone college for two whole years and ruin your entire life. Happy Abortion Day!"
"The physicians and staff of D&C Abortion Mill thank you for your past patronage. Remember to vacuum your womb regularly for health and fullfilment. Happy Abortion Day!"
"Honey, I can't believe it's been a year since you delivered our bouncing little bundle of fetal parts. These are the memories that bond us. Happy Abortion Day!"

So, all that free love and whoring around got you STD's that scarred your Fallopian tubes and you can't get pregnant now......so you hate on those that can and did, huh.

From the thread posted above -
Primitive shows her disregard for Mother's Day -
3. I have no kids...
Tomorrow will be great for my mom and sisters. Meh, I'll just drink and watch TV (it's been a very rough week).
-she doesn't even see the sense of...oh, I don't know... maybe going to visit her mom on Mother's Day ? Then she cements her ignorance with this post..
89. Yeah, it's been tough.
My grandmother has dementia and refuses to go into a nursing home. My poor mom...
So, she sees the sacrifice her mom is making but yet doesn't..Ahh, nevermind - I need to learn to not expect so much from primitives.

From the comments section at Salon :lmao:
"Bah! Humbug!"
Leave it to the perennial Scrooges at Salon to take offense at anything that does not involve pleasure via anal sex or suggests a positive affirmation of something other than yourself: for example, your mother. Even the author of this mean-spirited screed has a mother but all she can think about is how unrecognized and disparaged she feels at witnessing a subset of humanity (from which she feels herself excluded) celebrated and yet she would not even be here to wheeze this complaint were it not for that subset. The manly men (of both sexes) at Salon are prisoners of their 19th-century industrial culture: it's all about who's the boss, who gives the commands, what's the pecking order, and what have you done for me lately: Respect my authorita or else! It's called mother earth for a reason and that reason is fertility (in all senses of the word), the same reason all the Greek muses are female. But if Salon called the shots it would no doubt be daddy earth and force would be the dominant motif. I wonder what the monthly tab for mustache wax at Salon's editorial offices runs. One downside of having force as your dominant cultural motif (which is derived from warrior culture, BTW) is that you end up with streets full of homeless people holding conversations with themselves in which they demand respect and submission from their imaginary conversationalists as they read them the riot act in a loop. When there's nothing larger than the self, it all comes down to force:

Why not spend the time appreciating your mother?
This further exposes the lie of liberalism.
They claim their every pronouncement is to the benefit of others when in reality all they think about is themselves.
Look for a self-centered ego-driven motive behind every issue and you will learn to decipher liberalism.

Other comments from Salon:
This is exactly how I feel during black history month
Not having any black history of my own.
silly
What a silly article.
Women in the workplace are able to win promotions and salary increases. All mothers get most of the time are complaints, and when they get to be mothers-in-law they are treated to being the butt of nasty mother-in-law jokes by TV comedians.
Once a year, their family might say something nice about the mother or give her some flowers or whatever. Big friggin' deal.
There are many mothers who, in addition to being mothers, work in the outside world; many mothers often feel their efforts are more appreciated at their outside job.
Why do some here hate mothers for gosh sakes?
Take your outrage elsewhere.
Stupid article.
wow
Who pissed in your corn flakes

Salon comments again:
Typical Lame Lamott
I never say TGIF - makes Tuesday and Wednesday feel insecure...
Leave it to a boring hack like Lamott to come up with this nonsense - by honoring mothers we do a diservice to those who are not mothers!
of course what Anne ignores is the fact that motherhood is generally unappreciated: women get stck with the burden of motherhood - trash their careers, drop down the income scale, etc, etc - but some flowers and perhaps dinner out is too much for all those who choose freedom from reproduction...
pathetic...
Speak for yourself only
I hate the way the holiday makes all non-mothers, and the daughters of dead mothers, and the mothers of dead or severely damaged children, feel the deepest kind of grief and failure.
Grief and failure? Holy crap, get a grip. I am a happy non-mother who celebrates her own mother and mother-in-law, as well as siblings and friends who are mothers. Good parenting is difficult. It should be celebrated.
-
Who pissed in your corn flakes......DUMMIES did......and they didn't pass.

Do you think the DUmmies hate their mothers for not aborting them?

Do you think the DUmmies hate their mothers for not aborting them?
Only if they think that their lives are horrible and blame their parents for it.
Otherwise, you are asking too deep of a question for any DUmmy to comprehend. It's all about being spoiled rotten and self-centered. Everything in the world, good or bad, revolves around them. If they are feeling left out on Mother's Day, then it's because someone is trying to make their life horrible. Of course, they never consider that the cause of their problems is their own self-centered outlook on life.

Exactly. Any holiday that isn't about "me, me, me" for a DUmmie is personal attack. Heaven forbid anybody get praise when they are not receiving any. I called my mom today, sent her a gift, and spend some time talking to my cousins who are mothers.

That's great. I miss my mother but I know that things are better for her now.

I spent the whole day with my mom, it was awesome!! This morning , just me and her went up to the top of the Rockefeller Cinter. 70 stories high at 8 am, just as the sun was breaking through the clouds. We had a clear view of the whole city and beyond. She told me that this was the best mother's day weekend she has ever had, spending the weekend with her only two children.
My mother has always given 200% of her love, and time giving us the best life ever...What makes it more special, is that I get to spend my natal day with her as well...
-
I took my wife out for dinner tonight at a restaurant of her choice.

I hope that most of the rest of the comments there also roundly rejected this pathetic article. It was being talked about on the radio on Friday; I didn't actually venture over there.
Salon is the worst. It's home to that execreble douchebag, David Sirota.
I never had kids, but enthusiastically celebrate Mothers Day for all mothers I know, including dog & cat moms. There's something deeply the matter with one Anne Lamott.

41. This part rings true for me:
"Ninety-eight percent of American parents secretly feel that if you have not had and raised a child, your capacity for love is somehow diminished. Ninety-eight percent of American parents secretly believe that non-parents cannot possibly know what it is to love unconditionally, to be selfless, to put yourself at risk for the gravest loss. "
For such a secret, that sounds like an awfully specific statistic. Parents here: Do you feel that way about non-parents?

My wife is mommy to fifteen flying squirrels, so I gave her a bag of nuts yesterday.
This morning I found some in my shoes, pants pockets, shirt pockets, cereal......
I don't know if she did it, or the squirrels.

I feel that children of liberals should have their own day. It would be called Gosnell Avoidance Day and they could give their mom's cards that showed how happy they are that mom didn't get their spinal cords snipped shortly after birth. It would be celebrated every May 13th.

Conservative uncle: Benghazi!

Conservative cousin: Benghazi!
Me: could you pass the cheesecake, please?
Conservative aunt: Benghazi! IRS!
Me: how about them Penguins, huh?
Conservative dad: IRS! Benghazi!

Why I Hate Mothers Day
Anne Lamott

They are, actually, and in the same way that men who support or at least help protect mothers and children are more important than those who don't.
:retards:
