On this day in 1929 [June 12], Democrats across the country expressed their outrage that President Herbert Hoover's wife, Lou, invited an African-American woman to a White House reception for the wives of Republican congressmen.  Mrs. Hoover refused their demands that she rescind her invitation to Jessie De Priest (pictured (http://grandoldpartisan.typepad.com/./photos/uncategorized/2007/06/11/jessie_de_priest.jpg)), wife of U.S. Rep. Oscar De Priest (R-IL), an African-American congressman from Chicago.

There are racists in both parties.  I could bring up Dems in the 1960s that were okay and Republicans from way back when who were not. The impression I get when I speak with blacks is that they're not happy with either party.

From the 1800s.  Guess which was the Democrat, and which was the Republican.

Another drive by, by our resident moran!

Get a clue bridgette, it is your party who has kept minorities in poverty. You got 'em right where you want 'em! If they vote against the DemonRats, y'all will cut off their government subsidies, or if they vote Repub they might have to actually get a job! Every black I have worked with has been conservative. Imagine that! They were WORKING! Hmmmmmmm must be some kind of correlation with working and conservative values to get ahead, ya think?

Naw in your DUmmie mind it 'probly don't mean nuttin'.  :whatever:

Didn't you just get your butt kicked in an argument last week under these same pretenses?

But they vote 90% for Democrats.  And of course, the democrats continue to be the party of racists.

And I defy you to provide on example of a single racist policy or statement from Republicans in the modern era.  I can provide tons from the racist party.

HI 5!  :-) she can't do that if she had all year to prove it. She already tried, kinda.  :naughty:

I thought y'all pretty much handed her ass in her hands the last time she pulled this. Don't she ever learn?

leftists think if you repeat the same lie over and over it somehow magically becomes the truth.  Lanie is hoping she can get on a thread and not have us see and correct her.

I'm a lurker....been around for months, just don't really have time to post much. Frank knows me from way back in the Andy days. I read the DUmpster every day. Usually between 3 to 5 in the morning. Not much action that time of day.

I think I got the BS's from our other resident ******* NightOwl. He doesn't think hunting men is a reputable occupation. LOL!  :-) :-) I enjoy the hell out of it. Especially when I get to hunt DUmmies!!! :rotf:
