"Yale University officials have contacted New Haven Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation and increased security after graffiti threatening arson at a Jewish center on the university campus was discovered in a school bathroom late last month.
On April 22, graffiti found on a bathroom wall at the Sterling Chemistry Lab on Prospect Street said someone will set fire to the Joseph Slifka Center for Jewish Life on May 16.
May 16 is the second night of the Jewish holiday Shavout, which celebrated the day God gave the Torah to Israel."

I mean, the fact that this happened at a University that's only a hop, skip and jump from Boston, it's not surprising that the authorities would take it seriously. But there's an added element here that NBC is not talking about. Quite a few years ago, there was an article in the Hartford Courant referring to how friendly Yale University was to the Taliban.
"FROM TALIBAN TO YALE MAN
ENROLLMENT OF GROUP'S FORMER AMBASSADOR DRAWS OUTRAGE
By Kim Martineau and Penelope Overton
Courant Staff Writers
NEW HAVEN - As a former ambassador for the Taliban, Rahmatullah Hashemi was a spokesman for a hated regime. He's now a freshman at Yale University and depending on your politics, he is either a symbol of what Yale is doing right, in trying to build bridges to the Muslim world, or he's proof that the nation's elite universities have taken diversity too far."
The article cites several different points of view regarding this very controversial acceptance of a student on Yale's part, including this one:
"Another alumnus, former Army Capt. Flagg Youngblood, has criticized Yale for welcoming a former enemy on campus while continuing to block military training. Youngblood works for Young America's Foundation which promotes conservative ideas on college campuses.
"I'm rather distraught with my alma mater deciding to embrace our nation's defeated enemy and to cast away our nation's own defenders," he said."
Then, the end is where the real zinger happens:
"Yet, it was a talk Rahmatullah gave before the Atlantic Council that made him a symbol of Taliban chauvinism.
Amid the heckling in the audience, a woman lifted her burqa and yelled: "You have imprisoned the women - it's a horror, let me tell you!"
"I'm really sorry to your husband," Rahmatullah responded. "He might have a very difficult time with you."
This article was from March 2006. My thought is that, perhaps Yale's current scare about a possible arson attack against their Jewish buildings centers around the fact that they're so affable to the Muslim student population. It seems that they would rather sacrifice American values in order to allow radical Islam the wide parameters of freedom to express their deep hatred of Israel. I believe these chickens will certainly come home to roost...

A chemistry lab---yikes.
