Yup...may...and I have three fires in San Diego...one under
Control (phew) one under way, kitchen sink should be the proper name, and a smoke check... It's only 10:50...
So if you are anywhere in SoCal, red flag warning until six tonight, wind Warning in the mountains...and lots of fire units going everywhere...
So be careful out there.
Oh and we had two smallish fires yesterday, one of them caused by a weed wackier, so if you need to, have water with you just in case and try to do it not in the heat of day. It's bone dry out there.

I will have to chage into something positively less comfy, long pants, steel Toe boots and nomex layers. (Right now t-shirt and shorts and nice summer shoes)

A weak rainy season.
I've been here 30 years, and this is hardly that unusual.
ETA: Crazy Santa Ana winds right now aren't helping.

add high Santa Ana winds, and you get fires.
no big mystery.
I hope every single brushfire in SoCal gets posted here so we can all freak out together.

15. the specter of fire
You are absolutely right, be careful out there in soCal.
If it rains a whole, whole lot: dangerous fire season! (too much dry grass)
If it does not rain a whole, whole lot: dangerous fire season! (everything is too dry)
Memory of average Californian: is it fire season already? Didn't it just end?
DUmmy Little_Wing is a noobie, so nutcase nadin wants to be sure he knows how important she is:

zappaman shouldn't be a DUmmy. He seems to actually HAVE and USE common sense.
But like a train wreck, he just can't resist when the Nads Express goes off the rails, day in, day out.
And yeah, fires in CA? Who ****in knew? Then again, this is the same buncha idiots who build their houses at the bottom of a hill and act all surprised when the landslides take them out. So what do they do? REBUILD IN THE SAME SPOT!!! And they call people in tornado alley stupid?

Nads has had too much of that wackier tobaccier.

Fires in So. Calif. are as common as tornados in tornado ally. We have a lot of hilly brush covered areas.
The one DUmmy was right. When we have a lot of rain, there is a lot more fuel to burn than when we have fewer rains. These fires also go hand in hand with our Santa Ana winds. So. Calif is basically an arid desert. Most plants, except for the few native ones, have to be cultivated.

For a weed fire??? :lmao:
No, scrunt, they're discouraged for any use now.

I freak, you freak, we all freak or nadsfreak.

Yeah, I had nomex too, and God knows it came in SOOOOOOOOO handy when turning on KCAL-9 to see what the brushfires were doing! And the times we never had to evacuate, well, I'm grateful for all that powdered milk, because who knows what kind of shit got stirred up from all the fallout from Fukushima!

The definition of a DOTY.

Ya know, Eskimos had a real effective way of dealing with people like her. Too bad there aren't any ice floes around San Diego.
Hell, maybe they could make one, stick her fat ass on it, and drag it out a few miles and tell the tourists it's a penguin who got lost.

I don't do something like this unless there's a good reason. I now renounce my vote for BanTheGOP for DOTY last year. Under normal circumstances, I wouldn't, but I was duped by the schtick. Mea maxima culpa. :thatsright:

I am surprised Nads has not been arrested by Fire Marshal as every time there is a fire SHE turns up in the crowd of onlookers.
Favorite time of the year for Nads, racing through the streets to get the Hold the Presses scoop on a
drunks accident with a BBQ Grill.

Climate change? Hey Nadin, come shovel the 6 inches of climate change off my deck & driveway you fat bitch!
Had to change the label Global Warming to Climate Change quickly to accommodate all the snowfalls. I remember clearly when this hoax kicked off, we were told GW was going to end pretty much all winter weather except in the extreme northernmost regions. Todays kids would not see snow and have to be told about what it was like.

I heard Al Gore say this himself but for some reason, searches on the web bring up nothing. Its all scrubbed down the memory hole.

Yup......Same problem I'm having. I can't believe how screened searches have become. It seems the better I get at it, the better they get at filtering out everything but liberal content.
Wished there was a good conservative search engine that didn't do that.
