Are you tired of power elites not listening to you?
I know I am, and I do not have a spare million to try to buy myself a politician.
They really listen to those with insane amounts of money...they really do. If enough in the MC get behind something...they might pay attention for a second. If you are poor forget about it, you might as well not exist.
This is where much older techniques that Americans dare not use...good sheep and all...need to come back in fashion. (And incidentally those who are currently playing with it on the edges are finding it to be somewhat effective)...that is the strike.
This is a good May Day message...people died striking for the eight hour day...you want the elites to be scared of you? That's the tool of the worker...and tell you what, it's gotta be general, and as wide spread as possible...that protects your jobs.
I know, I am mostly whistling past a graveyard, since the S word is a four letter word in this country...but food service industry workers are finding, slowly, the power of it...why it was nuts workers (and Unions) surrendered it.

You may remember one of her campaigns when a DUmmy declared himself so fired up for a general strike, it almost motivated him to go out and get a job.

14. Millions on a general strike
And then another, and then another...
This is going to take time...but seriously, it ain't gonna work is exactly what they want you to believe
She finds herself in the occupoopers conundrum - all wound up for a demonstration, but with no objective.

16. In America? The land of continue shopping as skyscrapers drop?
That is the very last thing that might catch on with the consuming masses. Now, if something were to go wrong with Americans' right to accumulate ever-greater debt, that might have an effect.
Oh, that already happened. But, that was four years ago. Now, ratings for "Flip This House" are soaring again. The Revolution's just around the corner.

Oh wow, there are strikes going on all over the place but no one knows unless they read the free online East County pennysaver.

2. the only thing that scares "1% royalty" of all types
is coordinated, violent action of what they used to refer to as:
1. the mob
2. the great unwashed
3. the vulgar
viz., the 99%
we didn't get an 8 hour work day by playing nice, by cooperation, or by kowtowing.
we got it through direct action, sacrifice, and BLOOD.
Ninety-nine percent of Americans are an unwashed vulgar mob?
Who's watching the store?
DUmmy Skidmore has the best idea yet:

12. Quickest way to get their attention most people in the US won't do.
Sit down and refuse to produce. They always talk about how Americans are the most productive and hardest workers in the world. They are also their biggest customers. Shut down the piggy bank for them. Just shut it down. General strike. Purchase only essentials and coordinate.
Not One Damn Dime Day!!

Hospitals...and fire services.
(I will make an exception for the idiots in the press that should cover this as well)
One day, they will ignore it...and they need to happen...often
This is like brainstorming! Yet another great idea:

18. We now have the added weapon of a high personal debt load.........
A "repayment strike" to go along with a general strike would **** with their profits in two ways. You could even get away with it if everybody filed for bankruptcy all at once. It would overload the system. but until the court determined your suitability they couldn't touch any asset you have.
Mass bankruptcy! That should get their attention.
Mass suicide would be much better.

"Just tat your corporate media won't for the most part cover it. "
Even if I assume 'tat' doesn't refer to hiring Kat Von D to ink up a few newsmen/women, and it is actually a misspelling of 'that', Nad's post is still barely readable. Damn Autocorrect strikes again... Apparently...

Okay, when is cousin nadin going to do this?
I could be wrong, but I get the impression cousin nadin expects others to do it, not her.

Yeah. Autocorrect seems to regularly beat the hell out of her writing.
I remember once when she typed "It seems to be a nice day today" and autocorrect changed it to "I know all there is to know about every single thing in the world from Rubicon crossing to riffles to radiation to more than you can ever know you lowly unknowing people of lesser intelligence!"

This campfire reminds me of the origin of “primitives,†“Skins’s island,†“campfires,†&c., &c., &c.
It was years ago, back when “DUmmies†was about the only term used to describe members of democraticunderground, and many here were active at our old home.
One Sunday afternoon, I happened to be over on democraticunderground, and came across a thread where the DUmmies were discussing impeachment of then-vice president Richard Cheney; I no longer remember all the DUmmies involved, other than that Raven, the maternal ancestress of the Bostonian Drunkard, was one of them.
Now, for me, words are colors, shapes, and movement, and a series of sentences can make a picture, in the imagination. I attribute this to having grown up, and lived most of my life, without television.
When I started reading that thread, I suddenly felt myself as an explorer lost in the jungle who’d just crashed through some dense undergrowth, coming upon a clearing, where there were some DUmmies sitting in a circle around a smoky campfire; they appeared half-naked, ugly, dirty, foul, loathsome, and were excitedly jibber-jabbering and wiggle-waggling their arm-pits at each other as they passed around voodoo dolls of Richard Cheney.
They grunted their approval, or snorted their disapproval, of each one, handling the dolls very roughly and even swatting each other with the dolls, jabbing more pins into them, trying to stuff the dolls into their mouth, or stomping on them.
(Their “comments†being the dolls.)
What was additionally interesting were the expressions on their faces, bloated and distorted in hate and rage.
Well, this campfire by cousin nadin gives sort of the same “picture†in this imagination, excepting in this one, the primitives, instead of being hateful, reminds one of a circle of lilliputian “special needs†children.

Yeah. Autocorrect seems to regularly beat the hell out of her writing.
One of the best examples is when autocorrect came up with "au cntrainere".

So what is the great El Guapo going to strike over when she is working for a free weekly news rag? or is she trying to stir shit up in hopes of getting that big scoop and landing a real news paper job?
-
since the S word is a four letter word in this country
What, "suck?" As in; Suck an egg, gNads! Or "shit?" As in; You're full of shit. Could be "sick" As in; Your breath is sick. Go brush your tooth! Or it could even be "sexy." As in; You have never been, and will never be sexy. Ever.
We need more information, Nadin. Should be no problem for you, right?

Well, I knew right away that the CBD (Crazy Bald Dwarf) meant "strike" for the "S" word, but then again, it is baseball season. :lmao:
Even Joe Biden said "JOBS" was a three-letter word.

Are you tired of power elites not listening to you?
That's only part of your problem, primtives. What's even worse is that conservatives aren't listening to you, we're laughing at you. That's a trillion times worse than the PTB (as you say) not paying you any mind.
But you dolts will never agree it's worse, nor will you ever understand why you're wrong about that. And it has everything to do with us being smarter than you.

This is like brainstorming!
HA! Those idiots can't even work up a decent brain drizzle.

"General strike"? What kind of stupid talk is that? Unemployed, unemployable DUmmies can't strike, since they have no one to strike against.
Great plan- continue to not work, stop paying your bills, and file for bankruptcy. That'll show 'em!

At about 2 p.m. on the 14th of Never.

Nads, if you're reading this, do me a little favor. I've heard there's a belly-flop contest at noon tomorrow on top of the Coronado Bay Bridge, and they've asked you to take the ceremonial first dive.
Do it. Please.

,Relax all, spring is here and wild fire season in Ca. Nads will be too busy to become involved with Politics, she will soon go to bed wearing her smoke smelling vest with her scanner on her chest.
-
You been listening to the scanner with nads again, vesta?
Yeah, over the weekend in Orange County it was clear (at least as clear as SoCal gets) and 80. Today, wildfires in Banning and 98 degrees.
Keep reminding me why I left CA.

Hey gNads....I have a newsflash for you to report on....while you are all out there striking for better wages and shorter hours....
General Motors is spending 11billion in China and opening new auto plants to take jobs away from union paying workers here.
you go girl, strike, strike, strike

Is that the same GM that is owned by the government and unions? It tells you something if union owners are shipping jobs overseas.
-
From my limited knowledge of unions, when a local goes on an approved/recognized strike, they are paid a minimum wage during that time.
It's still got to be less than what they earn working regular hours. I remember the local UAW going through the same thing every few years when their contract with Peterbilt was up and I had to ask myself what the point was when you're getting minimum "strike" wages instead of doing your job and earning an hourly wage. It just sounded like so much bullshit to me.
-

Yah, right...only because the Maineiacs are all crossing the border to rob Market Basket and the drugstores.
While I'll grant you Rochester is "higher crime" than most surrounding towns, it's ****ing Mayberry compared to most places.

I do read Fosters police reports and find my self wondering why my kids live there. Seems there are a ring of garbage toter thieves up your way. That and the band stand in the town seems to invite the youth to bust each others balls by the dozen. Then the bar fights that turn ugly, -----A very nice town but has some really mean kids and adults living there.
Was there not a woman arrested in the park out of sight of most people breast feeding her hungry 2 month old ???????? WTF it was a lesbo of age that complained.
Portsmouth has a town this size but down here we get get only half the number of criminal act as Rochester.

I've never understood the value of striking myself. Any gains in wages and benefits are never enough to cover the lost wages due to the strike. A local union here was on strike for several months and they ended up a 5 cent per hour raise.

Stupid is as stupid does.

That would be the Peterbilt plant in Madison that shut down during a strike about five years ago and never reopened.
Solidarity forever.

Bar fights, huh? Seems to me it was in Portsmouth that kid got killed when he got the crap kicked out of him at The Page, wasn't it?
Seriosly, vesta--hole, digging, stop.
