Something about the reports of the Toronto/NY train terror plot troubles me . . .

. . . Mind you, if they have genuinely disrupted a plot, I'm grateful. But they keep saying the alleged terrorists were operating on instructions from Al Qaeda in Iran. Al Qaeda in Iran??? Al Qaeda is a Sunni organization; Iran is a Shia country. Sunnis and Shiites despise each other almost as much as they despise the U.S. That doesn't make any sense to me. Maybe I'm wrong, but color me skeptical.

Yes, we will be seeing more of this from the DUmpmonkiez. Anything to keep the targets off the islamist's backs.

1. I dunno, something tells me . . .

. . . this alleged, thwarted 'terror plot' is in the same category as a certain quantity of "yellow cake uranium" from the not-too-distant past.

Yes, MPK answered his own message.

2. Glad to see . . .

. . . that I'm not the only one who finds this claim to be rather dubious.

and again.

9. Here's a scenario I find more plausible . . .

. . . although it is admittedly just speculation on my part. But might it be possible that neocons in this country, itching as they are to go to war with Iran and eager to make a case for doing so, might have engaged in a little behind-the-scenes collusion with the conservative gang now in residence in Ottawa? Again, it's just speculation. But I submit it is more plausible than the idea that Al Qaeda in Iran directed the plot.

10. Remember, the military and defense contractors have hands everywhere,

in the media and in cooking up all kinds of crazy ideas in order to push their agenda further in the event they have the opportunity to do so. It happened with Iraq, of course, as we all know.

Uh, Iran has a special interest in damaging, even destroying, the United States.

It's one of their top priorities, if I recall correctly.

What's that old saying....."the enemy of my enemy is my friend"?

And so even despite theological and cultural differences, it seems to me Iran would be hospitable to a Sunni organization with the same goal as Iran itself.

Do the primitives ever think something all the way through?

Or do they just think to a desired conclusion.....and then stop thinking?

So...

The "neocon" element of the US Republican Party made a plan with the national government of Canada to blow up a nationally operated train in Canada, with the intent of blaming a nonexistent "Al Qaeda in Iran", but the same Canadian national government discovered its own plot and stopped it before the government supported Canadian terrorists could carry it out- and then blamed two innocent Iranian nationals.

Brilliant!

I'm watching the DUmp closely for a scale model of Boston made out of chickenwire and cinderblocks.

They're moving rapidly in that direction.

Gone? No. According to the DUmmy, they've just been busy planning a Byzantine terror plot with the Canadian government, against the Canadian government.

Hey DUmb DUmb...

Religion in Iran is dominated by the Twelver Shia branch of Islam, which is the official state religion and to which about 90% to 95%[236][237][238] of Iranians belong. About 4% to 8% of Iranians belong to the Sunni branch of Islam, mainly Kurds and Iran's Balochi Sunni. The remaining 2% are non-Muslim religious minorities, including Bahá'ís, Mandeans, Hindus, Yezidis, Yarsanis, Zoroastrians, Jews, and Christians.[18] Baha'is suffer from persecution due to their religious affiliation.[239]

You know Syria?  Iran's buddy?

Sunni account for 74% of the population,[112] while 13% are Shia (Alawite, Twelvers, and Ismailis combined),[112] 10% Christian[112] (the majority Antiochian Orthodox, the rest include Greek Catholic, Assyrian Church of the East, Armenian Orthodox, Protestants and other denominations), and 3% Druze.[112] Druze number around 500,000, and concentrate mainly in the southern area of Jabal al-Druze.[113]
