Barbara Bush on Son Jeb in 2016: ‘We’ve Had Enough Bushes’
By SARAH WHEATON
After having a husband and a son in the White House, Barbara Bush said she did not miss “one darn thing†about life there. And she does not want another reason to go back, even if it means depriving the country of the “best-qualified man.â€

‘We’ve Had Enough Bushes’
I feel the same. :lmao:

-
I'll always look at another bush. :naughty:
-
I agree with her, but I've also had it with Clintons and Obamas too.
-
I am bushed out with the Bush's also. Plus, I do not want to see her running her mouth on the Today Show. Past presidents and their wives should keep a low profile far away from the limelight. Looks like many of these these ex presidents and politicans just have show off their ego maniacs side.
-
Pretty tired of them myself, and I strongly agree with thundley4, as well. Throw in 'Kennedys' and every other political dynasty as well.
-
I do not want any political dynasty regardless of political party.

I would go so far as to propose a constitutional amendment against them. If your mother/father/sister/brother/uncle/aunt/spouse was in national office (i.e. Representative, Senator, or POTUS), then you are disqualified.
Until we get back to the mindset that elected office is service to the people and not rulership over the people, it might be the only way.

Before we go to that length, might want to consider term limits first.
But yeah -- I've always seen Barbara Bush as a more-recent version of Bess Truman. Bess did not pull punches and did not play games. She was up-front with her revulsion toward the Cesspool known as D.C. to the point that she packed her bags and went back to Independence, MO during her husband's presidency.
Babs didn't quite go that far, but she basically wore the pants in the family.

I never did like her because of her pro choice views.

The old Yankee hag should STFU. Telling Palin to go back to AK and out of politics was low class on her part. I do not have any use for her.
