As Bush library opening puts his presidency back in the spotlight, his approval rating is up
Source: Washington Post
George W. Bush will return to the spotlight this week for the dedication of his presidential library, an event likely to trigger fresh public debate about his eight fateful years in office. But he reemerges with a better public image than when he left Washington more than four years ago.
Since then, Bush has absented himself from both policy disputes and political battles. A new Washington Post-ABC News poll suggests that the passage of time and Bush’s relative invisibility have been beneficial to a chief executive who left office surrounded by controversy.
Days before his second term ended in 2009, Bush’s approval rating among all adults was 33 percent positive and 66 percent negative. The new poll found 47 percent saying they approve and 50 percent saying they disapprove. Among registered voters, his approval rating today is equal to President Obama’s, at 47 percent, according to the latest Post-ABC surveys.
Majorities said they still disÂapprove of Bush’s performance on the Iraq war and the economy, but his economic approval numbers nearly doubled between December 2008 and today, from 24 percent to 43 percent, with 53 percent disapproving. Iraq remains the most troublesome part of his legacy. Today, 57 percent say they disapprove of his decision to invade, though that is down from 65 percent in the spring of 2008, the last time the question was asked.

no chance of "Worst President Ever!" in Latin on on granite facade over the door, huh? I would settle for "Mission Accomplished!" for the humor and irony of it.
A Hall of Bushisms, perhaps?
Will the puppy paintings and shower scene be on display?
I think a shoe throwing exhibit would be exciting. Just stick a big bust of Dubya in the center of a room and line the floor with shoes for people to throw at it. Yipee!

As opposed to the Clinton Single-Wide Library?

It already has a nickname HillBilly airport. :lmao:
Barry would've stared slackjawed at it coming inbound until smacked him between the eyes.
How is this ugly DUmmie?

No shit? That's really what it looks like? :rotf: I've never seen it before because I couldn't care less about Bubba or Cankles, but first glance (and 2nd, 3rd, 4th,....) it screams Arkansas Trailer Park Bimbo. You cannot look at it and not think single wide, set up on a hillside, over looking the railroad tracks.
Actually the first thing that came to my mind was a derelict cargo van trailer, parked on an Arkansas farm as storage unit. All it needs is a fading and sun-bleached "Fruehauf" across the top of that short end nearest the cameraman.
:-)
Needs more dogs under the front porch.

Speaking of the Clintons, did y'all see the Grapevine yesterday on Fox? They are naming an airport in Little Rock after the Clintons (Bill and Hillary Clinton National Airport). It already has a nickname HillBilly airport. :lmao:
Clintons single wide reminds me of this: http://www.google.com/imgres?imgurl=http://jgarlough.ca/wp-content/uploads/2008/03/trailerparkcondos.jpg&imgrefurl=http://jgarlough.ca/2008/03/trailer-park-condos/&h=314&w=470&sz=216&tbnid=7mRbZacZ7u799M:&tbnh=88&tbnw=132&zoom=1&usg=__1RzcQwcV7NVwO4En5cQMruG71OM=&docid=RJ8iW_1Xk84JXM&hl=en&sa=X&ei=9VJ3Ubm6HOrWiwKZ_oDoAg&sqi=2&ved=0CDMQ9QEwAA&dur=2960

Aww no, DAT, you've got it all wrong. You're a Missouri man. You know exactly what needs to be on the side of that thing:
