How to shut up a gun nut about his Second Amendment rights.
Just ask him why you can't bring a gun onto an airplane.
How dare they "infringe" on his 2nd amendment rights?

I'm sure you get blank stairs, as Nadin would say, when you say that to one because they are stunned with how stupid that argument is. They are not dazzled with your brilliance.

Wow, put that DUmmy on the debate team!
What's next DUmmy, are you going to use the fact that you can't take one into a courthouse to shut us up as well? :rotf:

9. I imagine even the most rabid would be aware

that airlines are private property. It is the same thing that prevents anti-gun nuts from peeing on your living room carpet at 3 am.
:-) Thats gonna leave a mark!

I don't live in an airplane.

Guns are allowed on airplanes every day. Air marshalls are armed, hunters can check guns in the luggage compartment, I would bet that federal agents are allowed to carry if on official business.

Law enforcement officers may travel armed on commercial airliners.
See: http://www.tsa.gov/about-tsa/law-enforcement-officers-flying-armed
Back in the good old days, citizens routinely carried handguns on commercial flights. Smoked big ol' cigars and drank lots of bourbon at the same time, too. Ah, those were the days.

Can you imagine what would've happened if private citizens were carrying guns on planes on 9/11?

The planes might still have crashed, but none of them would have hit their intended targets.

So by world wide Wallys logic, we don't have a first amendment right to free speech since you can't yell "fire" in a crowded movie house.

28. A store is private property as well, and yet we see pictures of these trigger holes carrying
their bushmasters into department stores claiming it is their right to do so. Isn't there any law about intimidation of everyone else in the store?
If not... that sucks! So, shouldn't there be a law against sucky things at least?
(Obviously phrased to make a point)
It's clarified its point.
I thought DUmmies liked 'sucky things' and wanted everyone to view 'sucky things' as perfectly normal and natural.

Gonna put up a sign in my yard, "Your first amendment rights are null and void here....NO DUMMIE speak allowed".

I'd tell him that I stopped flying so I can carry my gun where ever I go. He would then be free to assume that I had a gun on me when I told him that.
Would love to see the look as his face turns white.

Wow my brother the airline pilot is going to be surprised to hear he can't carry the gun he has with him on the plane then. Idiot. I'd like to see the picture of the person carrying that Bushmaster into a store of any kind that isn't going to be looking at a few dozen cops soon after.

You'll never shut up a gun nut.

So, the fact that owners of private property can restrict guns should be used to get rid of the Second Amendment ... but those same owners of private property should have no say about who they choose to do business with? And if that private property happens to belong to a religious group, they not only have no right to refuse service to anyone, they also have no right to the First Amendment speech rights? Yep, that's DUmmy "logic" for you.

How about the property owner who refuses to lease space to Planned Parenthood. That caused DUmmie brainsparks a few years ago.

[Sracasm ON] I'm amazed at how easy it was to stop my argument dead in it's tracks! That DUmmies were right all along will torment me in my sleep. I'm gnashing my teeth as I type! [/Sarcasm OFF]
Ya know, for all their claims of being the smartest people on the interwebs...I was expecting more than a schoolyard argument. This is just sad.
