Oh my.
This is the primitive who allegedly inherited some property down in Brazil, and was worried about U.S. taxes on it.

Americans need to face a few sad facts
first of all we are a corrupt, violent society, ignorant of the world around us. We equate freedom with the endless purchase and possession of guns, whereas in reality our freedoms should lie in Washington, where our so called representatives are slowly eroding our civil liberties. We have a government whose only interest lies in the re election of its own members, and where the interests of the people and the country itself are left in the dust. Decisions are made according to re election needs, and according to the size of so called campaign contributions (bribes). We have a sorry history of mass murders since this gun madness began in the texas towers in the 60's and has continued unabated since then, with no end in sight.
We equate everything evil with muslims who are, if you read the koran with an open mind, far more peaceful than christians and, over time, have caused far less sorrow and destruction than the Christians including yes, that old bug a boo, the crusades. Yes the Koran does condone the killing of infidels only, and only if, the Muslims right to pray is impeded or violated. Even then, it is best parlay and settle the problem diplomatically, via a discussion and, if nothing works, then he may resort to violence. The Koran also mentions that respect must be shown to both jews and christians, since they descend from holy prophets, such as Abraham, Moses and Jesus. The bible, booth old and new, and the church, advocates killing anyone who disagrees with established dogma.
No I am not a Muslim; in fact I am a devout atheist who wants to see religion and all that superstitious nonsense banned.
As for terrorists, let's look at home first. What is the definition of a terrorist? One who creates terri, death and destruction anywhere which is convenient to someone's particular cause. Let us look no further than Cuba, the Phillipines, Greece, Argentina, Brazil, Iran, Chile, Nicaragua, El Salvador and Panama. All countries in which we have toppled democratically elected governments and replaced them with thugs such as Noriega, Pinochet and the Shah of Iran.
Once we step off our pedestal and realize that our arrogance and hypocrisy are the cause of many world wide problems, things might improve a bit.
The really sad fact is that Americans are so proud of calling them selves Christians, when in reality our whole lives are spent doing everything contrary to Jesus's teachings. We crave wealth and possessions, we are becoming less and less tolerant towards others and our once proud traditions of generosity and philanthropy towards the less fortunate are being eroded and replaced with greed and selfishness. We create wars for the sake of profit, and our lives dominated by one thing only - money.
Yes you may say, but what about foreign aid? Foreign aid as a rule goes to those who possessions we crave. Oil, minerals, gold etc...When Rwandans were killing each other with the blessing of the Church what did we do? Nothing really, they have no oil or wealth to mention.
We need to wake up and realize that, like it or not, the world belongs to all of us, and the worse we make it, the worse off we will become. America had the potential to be great, to create a world unknown to humanity before, populated by men of genius and eloquence in our government (Jefferson, Franklin etc..) and we are now reduced to the likes of mumbling idiots such as Bush and Palin.
What has happened to us? What has happened to the vision of Americans the world had of us, of the selfless G.I who sacrificed his life willingly for others, and whom the world loved and respected?

Frank , I am having a problem finding any fault with this poster. On first read this sounds logical, however I will have to go back and reread this a few times to be able to read between the lines.
I too would worry about taxes if I were to inherit as much as a 5 year old car much less land in a foreign nation.

Americans need to face a few sad facts
First of all we are a corrupt society thanks to liberal policies. We liberals equate freedom with taking money from people that earned it and giving it to us so we can have free shit that we do not deserve. In reality our freedoms should not lie in Washington, where our so called representatives are slowly eroding our civil liberties by using the tax code to get elected. We have a government whose only interest lies in the re election of its own members, and where the interests of the people and the country itself are left in the dust. Decisions are made according to re election needs, and according to the size of bribing freeloaders with free shit. We have a recently sorry history of lazy fools rioting when they don't get their free shit. Freeloading began in the 60's and has continued unabated since then, with no end in sight.
Fixed that for ya dummie!!!

I am a devout atheist
How do you do that?

Well, looks like we know how historian voted in franksolich's poll. Its a shame this poster isn't called 'trainedhistorian' - perhaps the post would have had more impact then.

Our freedoms lie in gov't? No, thanks. Freedom is an inalienable right, not something granted by government.
The bible, booth old and new, and the church, advocates killing anyone who disagrees with established dogma.
I'd like to see Book, Chapter, and Verse where this is stated. (crickets) Oh, you can't. I figured as much.
historian primitive, you are one screwed up individual. :mental:

How can you not fault someone who's belief system is for taxing the hell out of the other guy not wanting to pay his own taxes? Why should the rest of us shut up and pay our "fair share" and he gets a pass?
-
What has happened to us?
Look no further than your bathroom mirror, numbnutz.
How can you not fault someone who's belief system is for taxing the hell out of the other guy not wanting to pay his own taxes? Why should the rest of us shut up and pay our "fair share" and he gets a pass?
Precisely. They jump up and down to tax the crap out of the rICh!!!!!!1eLeVeNtY!!111!!, who already subsidize their freebies to the tune of 80%, but let them incur a tax bill and it's :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: :bawl: not fair, why me, blah-ba-de-blah blah. This jackwagon would be the first to start blaming the Tea Party for opposing any more taxation.

Atheism is this DUmbasses religion....too bad the irony is lost on him.

Historian has a very simplistic, myopic view of America and the world at large. It is a view that takes in to account only those things that he/she views as wrong and ignores that greater picture that the rest of us call reality.

Everyone pays taxes of some sort. Food tax, gas tax, town taxes to register a dog.
I bet the taxes under another name go back to the cave men when the healer was fed and housed by the people he/she treated.
No one even the street people can escape some form of taxes, this is a fact of life.
When one works for hourly wages we are happy to get overtime, until we realise we have worked that overtime to net only Penny's then straight time. We think we are getting $40.00 an hour to find we with taxes have actually netted only 3 dollars a hour more. Come end of year we find because of a excess in net from the last year now are bumped into a higher bracket and pay IRS much more.
Taxes are a way of life for humans that is the reason we have so many tax Lawyers to find loop holes to avoid taxes.
I have no objection to paying taxes except for living in a Donner Town. The reason the Lottery passed was the reason that it would benefit the schools.
Something went all to heck and some towns add $1,500 to the tax bill for some school up in the boondocks. Where is the lottery money going, where is the money going from donor towns ?????
Many schools are in great disrepair, any money to them go for sports fields and indoor swimming pools. Why are the kids in some schools learning from outdated text books sitting in cold class rooms in the winter and sweltering hot in the spring ????---------Yet the school has a brand new Gym for basketball.
Music and art classes cut back to buy Gym shorts or football uniforms. Where the heck is Home EC. for males, the shop classes that paved the way for kids to get a start on Plumbing, mechanics, and electrical studies ????
Bahhhh humbug, all that tax money to train a student in a sport they unless they are 0ne of the 2% of students that can go on and make a living at.
