The terrorists fired over 200 rounds in last night's gun battle with police.
It will be very interesting to hear about the capacity of their clips.
Re: The Senate Vote Of Shame.
On edit: Reported on MSNBC.
Here's a link:
The Boston Marathon bombing suspect was on the run Friday evening as officials said he and his brother exchanged 200 rounds with police during a stunning firefight early in the morning and left seven homemade explosives behind.

If only they had a 7 round limit in Massachusetts, I'm sure they would have happily obeyed that law. :mental:

15. Now that we've got that, maybe we should take the next sensible step
and ensure that ridiculous capacity magazines are banned. If you need more than a 10 round magazine for anything, you have no place in civil society.
And criminals throughout the country will throw away the ridiculous capacity magazines they have now and only use the 10 round ones.
Do you idiots ever bother to think?

The law says he's not allowed to own a gun, period.
Wait he wasn't allowed to have a gun, and yet he had one?

27. And that has absolutely NOTHING to do with this discussion.
If high capacity magazines were banned, he'd have a much harder time obtaining them. If there were no gun show loophole, he wouldn't be able to obtain horrific weapons easily. These are common sense measures that are only being opposed by people who have an utter lack of common sense.
Yeah because making high capacity magazines illegal will magically make them all vanish from the face of the earth. :whatever:
And I doubt he simply went to a gun show and bought one like you claim.

5. wonder how many ball bearings were in the pressure cookers
more than 200, I will wager.
Them damn high capacity pressure cookers. They shouldn't be able to hold no more than 5 ball bearings. :rotf:

A million police fired a brazillion rounds at two guys, and one of them drove away.
They should have been perforated like Bonnie and Clyde.
Any of the people I shoot with would have shot both of them to pieces.
These New England union cops need to take a break from the Krispy Kreme and hit the range.

Don't forget; these are the same DUmbshits that elect the likes of DUmbass Diana DeGette (http://www.washingtonpost.com/blogs/post-politics/wp/2013/04/03/house-democrat-confuses-her-own-gun-control-proposal/) to represent them.
What’s the efficacy of banning these magazine clips? I will tell you, these are ammunition, they’re bullets. So the people who have those now, they’re going to shoot them,†DeGette said. “And so if you ban them in the future, the number of these high-capacity magazines is going to decrease dramatically over time, because the bullets will have been shot and there won’t be any more available.â€
:thatsright:

No mention that the failed new laws would have done absolutely nothing to stop the younger brother from buying anything legally? Nothing to stop either of them from buying illegally? And just BTW, we should outlaw pressure cookers, BBs, nails, and pipes? :whatever:

Not to mention following through on the tip they were given the older brother instead of letting him walk would have probably spared not only the people who died through all of this, but the, my estimation, follower of a younger brother who was eager to latch on to a male family member. Perhaps if our own government starts doing their job when it comes to foreign threats the discussion about ammunition would be moot. DUMBasses will not get any of that though. If prevention is really so important to them then they are a few steps to far.
As stated earlier too, they didn't use the guns(likely illegal or stolen from legal owners) on the incident that caused all this either. They could walk in walmart or home depot to obtain those items and even interchange with some DUmbass in line(who converted them to liberalism no doubt :whatever:) about how Muslims only want peace while they were at it while said DUmbass lingered approvingly over the coexist sign on the back of the Honda they camped out in before the gun fight--dumbass eager to run the story back to DU . Stupid, obtuse idiots over there.

That makes sense, we have about 24 glasses in our cupboard. We normally use 2 of them per day, so every 12 days we have to go to the store and buy new ones. [/DUmmy mode] :rotf:

And that little firefight last night when white cap was found in the boat...man, all those rounds and white cap is still alive. Boston cops are REALLY bad shots.

Stupid DUmmies.
They interpreted "200 rounds were fired" to mean "the bad guys fired 200 rounds". The only way that works is if the police did not fire their weapons at all, and the dead older brother was killed by his younger brother, or by his own hand.

Well, dirtbag #1 had "numerous" GSWs, but also partially blew himself up, and then was run over and dragged by pissing in his pants dirtbag#2. So, all those rounds and nobody was killed outright by gunfire.

Aren't IED fragmentation bombs outlawed...?
And yeah, from what I can gather, the vast majority of the shots fired and the explosions heard were police weapons and stun grenades. It's kind of like all those machineguns and other NFA weapons the idiots at Waco supposedly had that were the legal basis of the whole raid in the first place, none of which the DOJ actually seems to have produced afterward.

God you never stop. There weren't a million cops there. They were throwing bombs out the window tough guy.
You are such a bad ass though - why didn't you come on up and take them out yourself?
I am actually going to print your post out as there are a few bulletin boards here that this should be placed for comic relief.

They wanted him alive. I love the experts here. Good stuff!

They were tossing bombs out the window. The younger brother was hit twice in the head.
The older brother (who most likely told his brother to screw while he walked toward police with a suicide pack on), had so many bullets in him the doctors stopped counting.

Then why was he even walking? If that many cops fired that many rounds, there should have been nothing but muslim hamburger in that SUV. My point being, that in moonbat cities like Boston, the police receive inadequate firearms training.

I still say that instead of all of these gun laws we should just make a law saying that it is illegal to kill someone.

It'll never happen, Flippy. Makes far too much sense, so somebody's speshul interest group is likely to be negatively impacted by such horrible, sweeping legislation.

:banghead:
I have no idea if he was walking. I am guessing.
State police; ATF; FBI; Boston swat teams - all descended onto the scene. Most former and current military.
You have no clue what happened, what training they have, and what their intent was but like the DU misfits run your mouth anyway with armchair commentary.
Priceless.

It's harder to hit your target on a two-way rifle range.

I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that is already a law. :-)
-
I'm not 100% sure but I do believe that is already a law. :-)
Really? I'll be damn. Well, even if it IS already a law and the bad guys ignore it, surely the bad guys would follow laws about guns. I mean, even bad guys can't be all bad. Right? Maybe if we asked them nicely.
Wait a minute...you know, now that I think about it, it's almost like the DUmmies and their ilk are wanting to do away with the regular guys' guns.
Nah...surely not. Reprobates like those at the DUmp surely wouldn't want to do something that essentially only negatively affects regular guys.

Well dummie... round these parts we actually train our cops to hit what they are shooting at.

It's not only Boston. I'll bet that unless the local cops here go to the range on their own they wouldn't be seen on TOP SHOT anytime soon.
-
Gotta give formerlurker some support here. We don't know how many times they were hit, where, whether they were clear shots or through car parts, or at what distances, and aside from a round right in the brain or heart, pistols aren't like deathrays. It's kind of premature to slander the cops on that.

to borrow a NAD-ism:
yup.

The cops need to spend some time at Front Sight. Classes are averaging almost 800 students a week now. The helicopter is back also for training purposes.
With that said, I did find this:
Orders went out on Boston police radio that Tsarnaev was to be taken alive and that officers should not fire first and not return fire.

That almost sounds like the ROE for the military in Afghanistan.

Yeah once the government bans something and wages a war on it for years and years it becomes very difficult to obtain it any more. You know like heroin and cocaine, right?
