In related news, "Liquor sales up 15% after temperance revival".

Damn. Obama, Joe Biden and Moochelle have a large family tree.

The Irony is that without liquor no lips will touch theirs. I'm thinking some serious beer goggles are needed.

I think I need a drink...

How about one of these adorable tequila shots?

That lot there looks like they're about to shit pink twinkies sideways (as my gramma used to say).

They look lovely, but I gave up tequila when I was 19.

I gave up tequila at about the same age. Except for an occasional Margarita or a swirl from Uncle Julio's when I'm in Dallas or Chicago.

Every 3 or 4 years I try one. The smell gets me right away. Ugh.

Those would be good made with rum and sugar!
-
I don't drink. I'm single. But if that's my only alternative....It's Miller time!
-
I don't do tequila anymore either, but they looked so damned cute. Labatt's blue light, and sauvignon blanc are my poisons.
-
There is not enough liquor in the universe to kiss them

DITTOS! :cheersmate:

Those DO look really cute, Karin, but like you and Tots (and some others), I can't handle tequila anymore. Although VERY occasionally a margarita looks good.
It IS, however, almost gin and tonic weather!! And, of course, a good (or a couple good) Shiner Bocks!
-
bet they were something before electricity. a couple of them look like casket models.

The irony of sitting here reading this thread while enjoying my post-work beers is delicious.
So is the beer.

Good memories you bring to me Krakka
Sitting one cold and snowy night in a small Miners Bar in the UP of Michigan, in came an old Miner with a very long beard.
He looked like the grumpy sort and sat alone at the bar. I noticed him as he looked like an extra in a movie about the old time West.
My EX did not know him as a fellow Miner at the Mather B, one of the last under ground iron mines in that area.
This brave man ordered a few drinks then ordered a shot glass of 151 rum. He proceded to set the rum on fire and forgot to blow it out.
His beard caught fire and the shot glass tumbled along the bar with flames along it's path. Soon he was on fire as was the bar. There were only about 6 customers at the time and we all rushed to help.
The bar itself was an antique from the 1800 and beautiful so more customers were interested in saving the bar then the man.
Who says living in the back woods is dull or boring come winter time??

What kind of beer?
Started with my last Becks Sapphire then broke into some Staropramen.

I remember doing flaming shots of Southern Comfort sitting on a dock on a lake in the Pine Barrens when I was 16 (yeah, I know, I was a bad seed :whistling: :-) )
Wanna know what's even worse? I was on a church retreat! O-)

Southern Comfort. My wife got drunk and then sick on that stuff. It was alternating laugh, sob, giggle, cry all damned night. To this day she can't stand to even smell the stuff.

I haven't had it since!

I haven't had it since!
First time I ever got drunk was with a buddy's dad's bottle of SOCO. All we had to mix it with was OJ. I haven't had any since either.
Bad Seed reporting here!

I used to take Southern Comfort + Coca Cola. These days I'd rather have a glass of Merlot. :II:

X-wife's relatives from England came over to visit, threw away their clothes and filled their suitcases with as many cartons of Marlboro/Winston cigarettes and Southern Comfort/Rebel Yell as they could legally take back with them.
Me, I would have gone with Crown Royal.

I second that
-
Southern Comfort is vile, nasty stuff. I don't see how anyone can drink it.
-
Tastes like marachino cherry juice. Kid stuff! Yuck, sticky sweet. Crown Royal is delicious. I can't drink the brown liquors anymore, though. I feel it the next day.
