Oh my.

Because of the primitives' long and well-recorded obsession with pressure cookers, imitating the techniques of the grasswire primitive I've been "researching" the cooking and baking primitives, to see if there's a link between one of them and what happened in Boston on Monday.

I haven't found anything yet, but I suspect I'm getting warmer.

I'm about ready to hit the sack, but thought I needed to post one more piece of inventory for the DUmpster.

What's for Dinner ~ Wednesday April 17th

^^^one's always intrigued that Her Ladyship Lu never deigns to post what she and hubby bewhiskered Bill, he with the square face of a Pennsylvania Dutch farmer, faded overalls, and walking with a slight limp, are having for supper.  Probably liverwurst sandwiches.

To be honest, I don't think Her Ladyship Lu is literate enough to post anything other than a title to a thread.

3. Pot roast, though I see my neighbor out starting his smoker...

4. ever try BBQ pot roast?

take a heavy deep disposable aluminum pan, I actually use two one inside the other for added thickness, put your v*****s in that heat up beef broth till boiling pour over v*****s with some fresh ground black pepper and what ever other seasoning and put on grill with potroast directly over the coals, use what ever wood type wood chips you like, cover the grill (i use a Webber) and let it go, if the meat is done before the v*****s simply place it on top of them in the pan

it's really good the v*****s and gravy have a nice lightly smoked flavor -y***y

5. Buffalo burgers and Hasselback Potatoes

I think I'll also oven "fry" some zucchini with Parm crust since I don't eat the potatoes and I need my share of the cheese...

7. The convenience store meal

tuna, noodles, cream of mushroom soup, and can of peas (splash of white wine to neutralized canned taste, haha)

It's the go to hot meal when you are totally exhausted from work and the thought of going to the supermarket is even out of the question.

8. soup and hot Kenyan tea

We're all making do and thankful for power to cook with. Since Monday am we've had about 18 in. of snow which we badly need but it doesn't seem to know when to stop. Poor Rockies have to postpone again. After 8 hours of 20 degree snowball yesterday they finally decided they don't want to be the boys of winter. Sure is pretty to look at if you're having soup inside.

I'm sure most have noticed a conspicuous absence; the cbayer primitive and her eccentric English husband are on a few days' trip.  By automobile and motel, not by boat.

It's very sad, the way the cooking and baking forum just diddles along, not nearly as interesting as it used to be.

Now, Her Ladyship Lu is a big improvement over the former dominatrix of the cooking and baking forum, the bitter hateful nasty old hippywife primitive, Mrs. Alfred Packer.  Mrs. Alfred Packer was really small-minded and mean-spirited, while Her Ladyship Lu is merely silly.

But actually, the best hostess for the cooking and baking forum would've been the cbayer primitive, who gets engaged (when she's not on a motor trip) with the other primitives.  But probably because she was woefully underappreciated as a moderator on the old DU and got so much flak she didn't deserve, she got tired of it and wasn't interested.

However, one recalls how much the HopeHoops primitive wanted the job, and how hard he campaigned for it.

But because he wasn't a member of the hippywife primitive's tight little elitist clique, he didn't stand a chance.

I think in the absence of the cbayer primitive taking the job, it should've been given to the HopeHoops primitive, who might've seduced the subway cat, the undergroundpanther primitive, into hanging around the cooking and baking forum, making it much more animated, exciting.
