Scramble an egg inside it's shell...Here's a neat trick

I haven't tried this yet and although I've been intriqued by those infomercials for a gadget that does this...I've managed to keep that toy out of my kitchen. Here's a way to do it with a long sleeve tee shirt and some string.

after which a 1:19 youtube thingamajig

You know, as a person who loathes egg whites but loves egg yolks, this might be something I'm looking for, to make such things more palatable.

1. Cool. Have you heard of the way to get the raw egg out without cracking the shell?

I read something like years ago. Something for Easter eggs. IIRC, a needle was used to get it to come out, but forget the reason why it was important. A craft project most likely. I'd like to try this scrambled egg idea.

3. You need a firm hand and a sharp pin

I've watched my grandma do it when she made pysanky but never tried it. I know there are tools you can buy as well to make it easier. I'm sure there is a video somewhere. Probably under egg blowing.

4. So the purpose is to save the egg shell for something else? What's Pysanky, BTW?

2. Yes, but how does it taste.

I watched the video without sound so if they said how it tastes I missed it.

6. I don't think he described that. He asked for people to try it and contact him, though.

You just gotta get the egg to smoke dope, judging from  DU.

How is that any easier or more convenient than just cracking them into a bowl and having at it with a whisk?
Sounds like fussy make-work to me.  Kind of like forming meatballs for the spaghetti sauce, only to break them all up.

I remember as a kid helping my mom make an egg tree for Easter and carefully using a pin to make holes in the eggs at each end, then blowing the whites/yolks out into a bowl.

But this video is just stupid . . .  :mental:

The YouTube video refers to hard-boiled eggs.  Sounds tasty.  As far as making scrabled eggs that way, yeah it looks like a waste of time. :rotf:
