Some speculation, informed by what we know so far
Since it is speculation...please take this with a huge grain of salt...not even those close to the investigation have a full picture yet.
First, placement of devices was close to the ground, and used the buildings to shape the frce of the wave.
Or maybe the perp was walking.
This I can say with a high degree of confidence due to injury types.
I can say with a high degree of certainty: you're an attention-whoring idiot gnome.
The rest not so much.
I believe this is internal.
I personally do not think it's a lone wolf but when all is said and done they will be able to pun the tail on one, max two.
:thatsright:
Proving a conspiracy will be hard.
The fact that we have no claim to fame almost dismisses an international connection, not the MO of insert terror group here, but also makes me wonder if this was more effective than expected and the terrorists are scared out of their minds...this would point to amateur hour.
You just got done saying proving a conspiracy would be hard.
While the date and place suggest, highly, of RW militias, we have no actual evidence yet, linking to this or not.
Your ass supplies all the evidence you need. All you need to do is reach in and pull it out.
Now back to what we actually know.
If only you had stopped here.
Which s two improvised devices, a hell of a crime scene to process, and three dead and 174 injured.
The rest, really, as to motive and all that, we lack hard facts.
You I've read that...

6. I believe it is domestic too. Not sure it is militia type.
I may be wrong but think whoever did it were nearby. My first feeling is that it was triggered remotely.
They need to rule out victims. There is always the possibility that anyone responsible either intentionally or accidentally received injuries. Or faked them.
OWS?

7. If Islamic terrorists
it is heavily likely it would be a suicide bomber, who would be found at the scene. So not a suicide bomber. Makes it more likely it is home grown terrorists or a lone nutcase mad at the world.
Malvo and Hassan weren't suicidal, ****wit.

You're just full of fail today aren't you DUmmie?
Pressure cookers – possibly activated remotely by a cellphone – are believed to have been used to make the crude bombs that sent deadly shrapnel hurling into a crowd of onlookers and competitors at Monday’s Boston Marathon, experts told Fox News.
Doctors treating some of the 176 injured victims believe the explosives were packed with deadly shrapnel, including pellets, nails and sharp metallic objects – with some patients having “40 or more†such fragments embedded in their bodies.
http://www.foxnews.com/us/2013/04/16/marathon-bombs-likely-made-from-pressure-cookers-shrapnel-say-experts
Pressure cooker IED's...think of a normal off the shelf pressure cooker stuffed to the gills with explosives and shrapnel...is a favorite weapon of choice of the Taliban in Afghanistan.
Or faked them.
The only fake thing around here is your belief that you've got a brain.
-
Why would a pressure cooker be any different than any other kind of container?

Why would a pressure cooker be any different than any other kind of container?
I'm not the bomb expert that Nadin is but...
Gunpowder and such work better when tightly compressed. Unroll a firecracker and you'll see it flare where one tightly rolled explodes.
With the lid of a pressure cooker tightly sealed it will give the requisite pressure to hurl its shrapnel at greater force. Then just pack it in a bag surrounded with nails, BBs etc.

Here's a picture of one. The sizes vary and the locking mechanism can be a little different but you get the idea.
Snugs nailed the why's perfectly.
In Afghanistan they bury them in the ground and use them like land mines.

that's a gay thing right? insult?

A politically motivated attack is going to go after political/government targets, like McVeigh and the Murrah building. A politically motivated attack is not likely to happen at the Boston Marathon. Tax Day/Patriots Day had nothing to do with it. Nothing about the location of the attack lends itself to the idea (even if you accept the idea that conservatives are violent... :whatever:) that it was a Tea party attack, which is what nadin wanted to claim, but knew better than saying it.
-

I have a pressure cooker and I can not figure out how one can be placed for more then a few moments off the heat to explode.
I have seen these things unattended blow up in kitchens, right straight up to the ceiling. They do not blow outward but up and pea soup is amazing when the top goes through the roof.

Bypass the pressure relief valve and see what happens.

So they are just packed with gun powder? Then how is it detonated?
-
I see what the idiots are doing, they're working themselves up so much that it was a right winger who did this, and if it turns out not to be? they'll yell coverup!
:bird:

An article I saw today said the instructions on the al Qaeda website "Inspire" suggests a string of X-mas lights (I knew I hated Christmas for a reason). That would make sense as they could be packed inside the powder to provide a through and through ignition. Powered by a big enough battery whose circuit is connected by a cellphone call it would be cheap, easily acquired and effective.
-
So they are just packed with gun powder? Then how is it detonated?
A cell phone linked to a detonator of some kind set to go off when the call goes through. Which is what the cops are looking at. Now I guess we got the crunchy newz from El Guapo the world can finally rest knowing Inspector Gadget is on the job.
-

A few years ago I built a fireworks control box for our local block Fourth of July parties, 25 numbered momentary switches and with the flip of a lever you got another 25. The momentary switch sent a signal out from the control box to a wireless relay at each mortar station which contained a 9 volt battery and a Estes model rocket igniter, that was the ignition source.
In later years I improved upon it by adding a Labview program that could control the launch automatically to music.
-

They need to ask themselves why it's so necessary when history shows us none of this is true

I had a 6qt cooker explode on me when I didn't pay enough attention to notice that the pressure relief valve didn't open. What a mess that pork roast made. Took me all day to clean it up. (http://www.conservativecave.com/Smileys/default/argh.gif)

That doesn't matter to them. Their hatred for anything good and decent and conservative is enough for them to justify their thoughts.

"Inspector Gadget".....I like that :lmao:
My only experience with serious explosives was when I was a kid running around with my cousins blowing up red ant hills with m-80s. :fuelfire:

I am waiting for one of them to make a connection between pressure cookers and the South. Since we all like to can our tomatoes and such, the perp must be a White, Southern, Racist, Gun-toting Teabagger.

Hey nadin.
Shut the **** up.
You're not qualified to speculate upon why an egg breaks when it's dropped, much less upon something like this.
Damned stupid arrogant broad, who thinks she knows shit.
Just sit back and let those who know something about things, do the speculating.

Maybe the Muslim figured out that the 72 virgins didn't and couldn't exist when Islam allows rape and pedophilia.

27. "won't speculste"
but will "speculste" anyway.
-
Anything Nads does is speculation, that DUmbass doesn't have the brain power to comprehend the most basic explosive train.
Once the FBI replicates the device from all recovered pieces, and believe me they will find every piece to each device, we'll have a better understanding of who, and what we are up against.
Until then I wish the left, the media (kinda of redundant), and the Nads would shut the **** up.

Well, now that we know we are actually dealing with explosives [View all]
Let's not speculate as to who is behind this. It will take a while to earn what, who and why.
Suffice it to say, if you see something, call 911...whether you are in Boston...or anywhere else in the country.
These include abandoned packages...or people acting strange.
Just repeating standard emergency services mantras here.

Hello everyone this is your pretend fictional spirit-guide news reporter with all the news that is news across the nation, on the scene at the left coast. The seems to have been some disturbance here. Pardon me, Ben Franklin, did you see what happened?
Si, I did. I was standing over there with the good rig and here it comes, a radiation cloud from Fukushima. I hollered over to the submarine captain, "The tea baggers have been Japan, Ramius! Better grab some milk!" Suffice it to say it was too late he'd done been climacticly radiated.

Shape charge, huh? :thatsright: Uh-huh..... Now explain stand-off distance, shape of stand-off, size of propellant...... etc....idiot.
All righty then, add EOD and Demolitions Specialist to the Blob resume.
-
Considering that DH was able to figure out the location just due to the fact that only the lower windows were blown out it was pretty easy.
I did notice the piss poor (or shall I say nadinesque) scene management after the blast. Someone should have taken over that actually knew something about managing a mass casualty situation. I understand you want to get little Billy and grandma out of the way but do you mind taking care of the guy with the arterial bleed first?

If I was to ever make or use a bomb for any reason it would be to wreck Inspector Gadgets home PC so the world could be saved from all the krunchy newz after it had crossed the rubics cubed suffocate it to say.

No bomb needed to wreck her computer. Just send her a virus in the form of midget Mexican donkey porn. I bet she would open it.

Perhaps you should go back to your photobucket account and re-copy the link? Rememeber, there's four or five different kinds of links, so you have to choose the right one (that begins with [IMG], not [img]).
