What are the various stages of PPR?
I think I understand. An ordinary user PPR'ed will simply have their posting privileges revoked, but their previous posts stay up if unhidden.
If a user is removed by MIRT, all their posts are 'auto-removed', but responses are not.
I notice that there is one further category, and that is 'name-removed' as well. What did they do? It must really be bad...
Or did they use an obscenity for their name or something like that?
On edit: don't tell me 'Name removed' was just their username? D'uh!

1. name-removed and auto-removed go together.
When the post is auto-removed, the author's name is changed to name-removed.
At least that is the way it seems to work.

4. It's not really a hierarchy of offensiveness - it's just based on post count
Low-count newbie PPRs get names and recent posts automatically removed, but posts from long-term DUers get left after PPR. It's a tool for easily cleaning up spam and trolls: for example, if someone signs up with a username like cheappaydayloans.com and spams a web link across a dozen threads, they get automatically cleaned up rather than a MIRT member needing to do it all manually...
