Thanks to a few RINOs, there will be "extended background checks", but they will not apply to private individual to private individual sales. They're supposed to close the "gun show loophole" and the "internet sales loophole".
Are you ****ing idiots that damn stupid that you think a person can walk into a gun show, throw down a grand, and walk out with an M-4 with nothing else required? THIS DOES NOT HAPPEN, you dumb, illiterate ****s. A background check is required by anyone that sells in a gun show that is an FFL holder and selling as a dealer. If someone is walking through the aisles carrying an AK, and you ask him if he wants to sell it, you buy it, this is STILL not going to require a background check as it is considered a "private individual to private individual sale", as that's exactly what it is.
As for internet sales, do you DUmpmonkies think a person can just buy a weapon on the internet and have it delivered to your home? Again, are you that ****ing stupid? NO company will just ship a firearm to your doorstep after you purchase it, unless you HAVE an FFL and then it requires signature and for you to log it into your inventory book that is required to keep your FFL. Anyone that doesn't have an FFL, once you pay for the firearm, it's sent to your choice of FFL holders and the FFL holder has to perform a background check. NO ****ING NEW LAW IS GOING TO CHANGE WHAT'S ALREADY IN PLACE, FOOLS!

Guns America, same thing. NO dealer will ship to your door without you having an FFL. Idiots.

I am frankly surprised they (libs) are actually praising this bill/accomplishment. It's nothing, they haven't made anything better.
-
The gungeoneers have informed them of this fact time and time again.
It's not about safety. It's not about stopping crime. It is about incrementally eroding the 2A.
If you act like it's anything else you're lying to yourself.

So, nothing different than anything else they passed?
The War on Poverty...which made it worse.
Affordable housing act...which made house prices rise.
...just to name a few.

I wonder how many thousands of feel-good, do nothing laws are on the books.
This is just another one.

These military grade .44 caliber assault pistols can be purchased online and shipped directly to the purchaser.

Oh, the horror!

I remember seeing mail order ads in the American Rifleman before GCA68 for 03A3 Springfields $9.95, and M1 Garands $34.95.
Thousands of them were used in crimes. Oh, wait, did I say thousands? I meant not a single one.

Oh, the horror!
Just black powder right? Otherwise pretty much anything made before 1899 can be shipped without going thru a FFL.

It's not "just black powder", my friend. Those are weapons of mass destruction! The entire race of peace-loving "Original American Aboriginal People Who Were Here First" was laid low by those military style assault weapons... of death!
The DUmmy said that he bought a .44 revolver online without an FFL transfer. The only way it could be done legally is if he bought a black powder weapon, or if he holds a Curio & Relic (C&R) collector's license.
Black powder, C&R firearms and and antique guns (made prior to January 1, 1899) are exempt from the FFL requirement. C&R weapons may be shipped across state lines without an FFL transfer, as long as the recipient has a C&R license.

But it makes them feel like they've done something and isn't that what liberalism is all about?

We are just one more law and tax increase from the perfect socialist utopia.
I see that three weapons manufacturers are pulling out of The Peoples Republic of Connecticut. Colt and Remington are looking to move out of the respective utopias as well.

Drugs are illegal and come across the border every day....so will guns.

Some of those guns will be ones that Eric Holder sold to the drug gangs in Mexico.

Oh, the horror!
The horror indeed! Can you imagine the damage these guns can inflict if they are outfitted with a high capacity magazine. :o

Well you can't expect them to just let a black market deal go to someone else do you? Stupid RINOS and all the rest. Obi Wan Kenobi was right. "You will never find a more wretched hive of scum and villiany" , In D.C.
-
Yes, they really are that stupid. Since Skinner has loosened he rules of GD to allow in gun threads that stupidity has really shined. They throw out some obviously bullshit statement, and when a gungeoneer counters it with fact they scream, "I don't want to hear you NRA talking points!". For a bunch that likes to bill itself as the "reality-based community", when it comes to guns they rely strictly on wishful thinking and superstitious dread.

I tried, really I did. All I could find was pictures of Rosie O'Donnell in parachute pants (I'll spare you the horror). Maybe she was carrying concealed.
