Poll: Majority of Republicans believe global warming is a hoax
Fifty-eight percent of Republicans believe that global warming is a “hoax,†compared to 11 percent of Democrats, according to new polling that underscores political divides over climate change among U.S. residents.
The Public Policy Polling (PPP) survey is one of two polls released Tuesday that reveal sharply differing views on global warming between Democrats and Republicans.
A separate Pew Research Center poll showed that 44 percent of Republicans believe there is “solid evidence†of global warming, compared to 87 percent of Democrats.

3. This can be laid directly at the feet of Rush Limbaugh, FOX News
and the army of right wing hate media clones. This idea that global warming is a hoax did not spontaneously pop into millions of Americans heads. No, it was carefully placed there by right wing media and made to stick through repetition.
Actually it is the other way around, the leftist media has planted the whole idea of global warming, then when it was shown that the warming had stopped and all the predictions didn't come true, it was changed to global climate change.
the reason I believe this is a hoax is based on the actions of those who profit from the nonsense.
Look at Al Gore who has a much larger carbon footprint than damn near anyone, he preaches the evils of carbon then flies all around the world. If he truly believed in global warming his solution wouldn't be to just simply pay for his "sins" by buying carbon credits. He would lead the way by not using all the fossil fuels that he does.

5. Well they are against public education and college loans so this does not surprise me.
That is just stupid, but we all know they have no idea what we believe in anyway.

Yet the science that disproves global warming is ignored again and again. You can't say that you believe in science if you don't even listen to and consider the other side of the argument. If you were truly science minded you would at least consider the other findings out there.

Back in the late 80s/early 90s when they really started pushing this crap, I had a kind of epiphany where I saw all of earth history stretched out before me and there was this teeny, tiny little slice that was indicated as "recorded data." And since then I haven't really believed in it.
I know they can do things with ice cores and tree rings but those are still just very advanced guesses. And often times it takes more guesses to flesh those guesses out.
IOW, it only takes a little bit of thinking and the whole claim falls apart. It takes negative thinking, whatever that is, and a lot of it, to believe in.
In fact, I would go so far as to say it is a genuine cult, complete with apocalyptic prophesies of doom.
It's a manufactured cult like Menudo, Korn, or Limp Bizkit.

This hasn't happened (yet) with globull warming, at least, not in the "scientific" field.
Right now, I have 5 inches of "globull warming" covering my deck, on the 4th of April. (I've seen 6+ inches fall on April, 28, 1978.)

Several years ago, my friend who has a cabin in the mountains, was snowed in on Mother's Day. This is in So. Calif.
I live in the same town I was born in, and I have never bought into the Globull warming BS, as I haven't seen any overall changes, other than the occasional weather episode everyone has from time to time.

Going on old memories here. The north pole ice cap is melting...OH NOES.... :panic:.....opening up the Northwest passage....again. It opened in the 1850's(?)(Shackleton? froze in and died trying to get through that summer), again in the 1890's(?) and one more time in the 1930's.
Hey, it appears to open ever so often about ever 40-50 years and this time it's running a little late, 80 years.

The planet gets warmer. It also gets colder. it is a ridiculous notion to believe that mankind has enough power to alter the planet enough to change the natural cycle of things since the beginning of the industrial revolution. The planet is billions of years old, and has been pretty much completely destroyed and rebuilt at least once. (that's where the moon came from, as well as the planet's tilt on its axis) We don't mean all that much to it.

The global warmers are pretty arrogant aren't they? Thinking they have that much power. I think we can be better at conservation, so we aren't pooping in our nest, but change the weather? No.

-Politicized hyperbole
-Selective inclusion of incomplete data
-Computer modelling of theoretical events based on faulty data
-Data massaged for preconceived conclusions
-The belief that taxes cure and/or alter geophysical anomalies
-Known and verified volcanic events are disregarded
-Entire historical eras of inconvenient data are completely ignored
-Proven scientific method is altered or ignored to produce preconceived outcomes
-Peer dissent is vilified and careers are viciously attacked and killed
Doesn't sound like any Science I learned. C'mon, helmet children. Prove any of the above points in error. Regale us all in how, given that the Earth is 3-4 billion years old, you can accurately determine average mean temperatures with the degree of accuracy necessary to not completely bias any conclusion, one way or the other?

What they don't say in the article is why Fisker is going bankrupt. Their sole battery supplier, A123 Systems (recipient of $249 Billion in stimulus money) declared bankruptcy and has gone out of business. No batteries, no cars to sell. No cars to sell, no business.

Screaming about climate change goes all the way back to the early 1900's. I read an article, see if I can find it, that showed that it would go back and forth between ice age and hot age about every 20 years or so. It wasn't until recently that it became a man caused problem.
Me? I think climate change is definitely real. I know it is. The climate has changed many times since the earth was formed. That is proof. I just don't think man has anything to do with it.

They also want everyone to move *in* to the cities, ditch their cars, and rely on "public" (read: *government*) transportation.
It's just one more pillar in the statist dystopia the lefties want us to live in. And the sad part is, leftie voters can't see it for the power grab it is.

I read the other day that the true cost of a kilowatt hour of solar is around thirty cents.
The true cost of a kilowatt hour at a gas-fired plant is a little over three cents.
It's hard to know what solar and wind really cost, because it's buried under layer after layer of taxpayer subsidy.
Sort of like those stupid electric democrat cars.
