That is going to be a circus of a general election this year.

I don't blame Sanford for running and it's obvious that he was the voters' choice. What you gonna do?

This from the same state that had Alvin Greene as a Dem SENATE candidate?

His opponent is Steven Colbert's sister. http://www.salon.com/2013/04/03/its_on_sanford_to_face_colbert_busch_for_south_carolina_house_seat_ap/

he's a bafoon and acting just like how I would expect a democrat to act. I can't believe he is the best candidate for South Carolina, but then I don't live there and have no say in their elections.

No offense, DLR, but look at the shit that comes from CA...and I found out my old home just got redistricted into Loretta Sanchez's district. Oy, that would suck having her as my Rep after having had Rep. Rohrbacher.

His affair and drama aside, Sanford was an extremely effective legislator and executive.

That was like four years ago. I almost forgot about it. The scandal could hurt him still.

None taken and I agree that there are few if any good politicians coming out of california. My wife and I have begun our dialogue about moving out of the state at some point in the future due to how ****ed up it has become.
Regarding sanford, I feel he will be less effective since he now has alot of dirty laundry the democrats can hold over his head now. He had his chance, ****ed up, now he needs to move on IMO. I expect better out of those who represent me, regardless of party affiliation.
