Happy birthday to me.

I'm 24 now, with a fractured hip as a gift.

I'm doing better. (Maybe not emotionally.) The exercises I have to do are painful, but my overall pain has gone down I think. You don't know what you have until you lose the ability... I can't move my leg side to side without significant pain involved.
 
But anyways, this is my birthday party thread.

20. Yoga helped me more than I can say.

I just finished yoga before I got hit, so I didn't tense up as much after I saw the mini van come up. I would not have the arm strength to move around in a walker without yoga... Yoga deals with hip openers so blood flow might be pretty good in my hip.
 
Glad I had a heavy winter jacket on too.

So I went to the feminists' group to see the birthday greetings there.

Ho-hum.

Due to being hit by a mini van. My therapist thinks I might have PTSD now... I'm a little bit afraid of cars now. As in cringing the whole time I was coming home from the hospital.
 
Then there's the physical recovery itself. It's going to be very frustrating. I can't get out of bed by myself.

Edit: I was on foot on a crosswalk by the way. Two hairline fractures on my right hip and a bruised finger. Full recovery expected.

Have a few shots of vodka after you take your pain pills.  I heard you need to take fluids with those pills.
