I wish I had thought of this, but I heard it today on the radio..
So if Hillary and Obama basically split the votes of their side who are 'rabid voters' this year.. Hilary got 18 million, and Barack got about the same? Let's round it up and say they got 40 million altogether.
How many Americans are there? Over 300 million? That's not anywhere near half of the electorate.
That's about what, less than 25% of the people in the country so far? Granted, the general election will bring out far more people.. I get that.
What am I missing? Am I being really naive about this? It doesnt seem realistic that the Dems have this locked up .. no matter how messianic the Barackstar!! js...

The dirty little secret is that Obama does not have the nomination sewn-up. The democrat convention is still a long way off. With each passing day it becomes more painfully obvious to the democrats that the Magic Quasi Muslim Negro is completely unelectable. The party's big guns have a lot of thinking to do.
I fear for this Obama guy's life. I do not fear some wild-eyed racist will get to him. I fear some desperate liberals may conclude it is their only chance.
Wild-eyed racists have a conscience and are able to control themselves. Desperate liberals do not possess those qualities.

hmmm.. interesting.
i dont honestly think about him being shot or killed... i think he has some value to them down the road. but not now, he just hasnt accomplished anything to hang his hat on. and they all know that.
he has great potential, i will admit that..
i think enough of us remember what Carter managed to put us thru, and he actually had a bit more experience.

The weekly standard noted that lots of big Dem donors have already maxed out their contribution limits for the year. They can't legally give any more. Not that that will stop them, of course. There is still the 527 route.
Anyway, the dems have burned through a ton of cash, and are behind in available money for the rest of the year. Lots of them are burned out emotionally too.
And pretty soon, there is going to be lots of buyers remorse over there, as they see what they have. Which when you look closer, is something large groups of ordinarily Dem voters don't like. Gator's favorite group especially. You think large groups of Jews are going to vote for this guy? They will probably leave that line blank.

McCain will get more Hispanic and Jewish votes than any Repub. Prez has ever gotten. I think the Barack star will get trounced.

Obama is the best argument for zionism since Gerald K Smith.
All these zany Hollywood types keep on saying they will emigrate. In case Obama wins, it would be a good idea for those who go to church on Saturday to brush up on their language skills and start moving assets to Bank Hapoaelim. The man has some issues.

I agree completely....however it is not as though the "Chosen People" don't have a history of voting against their own interests....a goodly number of times......
I'll never understand it.......

There's really not that many Jews in this country - they have traditionally been huge contributors to the DNC, but more conservative "orthodox" ones will go the way of Joe Lieberman and support McCain.

I think you're right - he'll only lose the "youth" vote, and barely that among non-blacks, and the black vote. All the other subgroups will go for McCain - a popular and EC landslide for him it looks like now if it's McCain v. Obama.
Juan is also running a pretty good campaign so far, despite the MSM.
