Oh my.
<<<if were hit by a car, wouldn't bother coming here to the DUmpster to whine about it.
<<<would have things of Greater Concern on the mind.
Big campfire, lots of primitive healing white light, but the original posting primitive only is quoted here.

I was just hit by a car.
In the ER with my iPhone. Possible broken hip/finger. Unknown if internal bleeding.
I'm still in shock and shaking. Person that hit me was crying her eyes out, and she had a 9 year old in the back seat. I just want to go home now.
I'm glad I still know my name. I'm in really bad pain.

3. Well, just discovered I can't stand.
Oh shit.

8. I'm on painkillers, and I'm still in pain.
I literately screamed when I tried to even just dangle my leg.
Doesn't look like I'm going home.

35. UPDATE:
Finger only bruised, hip doesn't show fractures on the X-rays, but it could be a hairline and I'm going through a CT scan soon. Still waiting for pain meds.... Pain is at a 9, still waiting for pain killers. I cannot dangle my leg without screaming, so I cannot walk. Used a bed pan for the first time... Semi-out of shock, still prone to crying randomly.
Roller-coaster!
Edit: husband has been here from the start.

95. Yes.
I was on a cross-walk. Where it's the law to stop.

74. They force psychical therapy on people with this kind of thing.
All paid by the driver's insurance, so I'm not worried money-wise. Chiropractors pop your back/neck mainly, that'd be a pretty bad idea since I'm already crunched.

82. UPDATE
CT scan showed I broke my sacrum and err, it started with an a...
Can't get a hold of husband on phone... I hope I don't need screws.
Neoma (8,694 posts) Tue Mar 26, 2013, 08:52 AM
86. No, it's broken in two spots.
Sacrum is one part that's broken.
Neoma (8,694 posts) Tue Mar 26, 2013, 09:48 AM
92. Two bones.
Unsure that I'll go to surgery. Pain meds are working, but hurts no matter how much I'm on. I'm warm. Husband is now here.

110. Here's the new update:

101. UPDATE
Good news. (I'll take it where I can get it.) The bones that are fractured are hairline fractures and that's why they didn't show on the X-rays. They're likely to heal I don't think I'll have any permanent chronic problems or pain. It's the Sacrum and Acetabular (dunno if it's margin, fossa or notch.)
I'm not having surgery! I'm still waiting for the specialist... The nurse warned me that they may make me walk and I told her that they'd have to put a piece if wood between my teeth. I'm not really joking on that part either.
So far it sounds like if you're going to be hit by a car, my route isn't horrible. No spinal cord or head injury and I wasn't run over by the tires. I can wiggle everything and push down and up with my feet. There was no blood on the outside of my body and no internal bleeding. I also have all my teeth and my eyeglasses and iPhone didn't break.
But I shouldn't have been hit by a car in the first place.

118. Working is a relative word.
They can't keep the pain at zero.
Neoma (8,694 posts) Tue Mar 26, 2013, 07:12 PM
120. Looks really good so far, but we're crossing our fingers...
That my fractures haven't shifted, which would push me back into surgery.

122. UPDATE.
Going home, no surgery required.

131. My X-rays were negative too.
They found out through a CT-scan.

135. They wouldn't let me leave without one.
in reference to taking a walker from the hospital, to get around at home
It's paid for by insurance.
Okay, at the risk of incurring the wrath of the primitives for being such an insensitive, uncaring brute, I'm going to say this primitive is a wanton whining useless self-pitying neurotic ass.
<<<knows.
-
She is a useless whiner, but it's wonderful to hear about a DUmmy in great pain.
One can hope that she'll slip and fall in the bathroom and increase the extent of the injury.
I hope she will continue to post, at least until the pain subsides.
The downside of this is the knowledge that she's exaggerating her discomfort in preparation for a lawsuit.
It's just how a democrat rolls.
-
If we'd only move out of the dark ages and ban cars this would not have happened.

Actually I think the primitive threw herself in front of a car to access pain meds. Her description of the injuries are minor compared to the overwhelming pain she claims she is in.

Here's to hoping that the person who hit her is a moonbat as well. She will get sued by the DUmmy (you know that's gonna happen), lose her house and all possessions. Get depressed and commit suicide.

Not a single word about damage to the car.

Not a single word about damage to the car.
I thought I had a couple or three or four certain photographs in one of my photobucket accounts, but I can't find any of them at the moment; photographs of franksolich after being hit by a car.
The first time was when I was three years old, the latest time was in 2005.
And in between the first time and the last time, there were eleven other times.
Six of these involved broken bones and hospital stays; two of them broken bones but nothing longer than an overnight hospital stay; all the rest required at the very least a trip to the emergency room, and some fixing up.
It happens. If one can't hear, one's not aware a car's coming.
Even if one first stops and looks in both directions. Motor vehicles sometimes have a habit of suddenly materializing out of thin air. In some cases, I was a little bit careless, but there's other cases where there was no clue, no clue at all.
Well, that's life. Excresence happens. One accepts, adapts, and moves on.
I don't believe anybody has any recollection of franksolich, even when little, bawling and whining about it.
This is why I personally find this whining primitive execrable; as an adult, if she can't handle this with more grace and class and fortitude, one wonders how she's going to handle a real crisis involving real pain.
**** her.

Finally.
At least one DUmmy understands the purpose of all this whining.

So let me see if I got this right. The dummie got run over. The dummie is in the ER. The dummie is in extreme pain. The dummie is texting or posting or whatever to the dump?
Folks... if I got run over and was in extreme pain, the LAST thing I am gonna do is go to CC and post a running scorecard of what I am going thru. Might tell ya all later, but at the time? Nada.
I think the dummie is lying.

Thankfully it wasn't her texting finger that got hurt.

Or the one that she uses to... well you get the idea, Flippy.
-
Why would she be posting on DU if she was hit by a car?
-

Well, I think they actually walk around with one finger stuck up their arse in order to keep their head company. That finger was probably well protected. No telling where else that finger goes.

She seems addicted to that phone. I bet she walked out in front of a car while texting.

People that are at a "9" on a pain scale of 1-10 do not sit on the iPhones updating minute by minute on political board. ::)
THE PAIN SCALE
0 – Pain free.
Mild Pain – Nagging, annoying, but doesn't really interfere with daily living activities.
1 – Pain is very mild, barely noticeable. Most of the time you don't think about it.
2 – Minor pain. Annoying and may have occasional stronger twinges.
3 – Pain is noticeable and distracting, however, you can get used to it and adapt.
Moderate Pain – Interferes significantly with daily living activities.
4 – Moderate pain. If you are deeply involved in an activity, it can be ignored for a period of time, but is still distracting.
5 – Moderately strong pain. It can't be ignored for more than a few minutes, but with effort you still can manage to work or participate in some social activities.
6 – Moderately strong pain that interferes with normal daily activities. Difficulty concentrating.
Severe Pain – Disabling; unable to perform daily living activities.
7 – Severe pain that dominates your senses and significantly limits your ability to perform normal daily activities or maintain social relationships. Interferes with sleep.
8 – Intense pain. Physical activity is severely limited. Conversing requires great effort.
9 – Excruciating pain. Unable to converse. Crying out and/or moaning uncontrollably.
10 – Unspeakable pain. Bedridden and possibly delirious. Very few people will ever experience this level of pain
Lying liberal. Drug seeking Dummy. If she didn't walk on in front of the car texting, she probably tossed herself in front of one so she could score some pills, get some attention on DU and get some money.

I know what you mean. I can't tell you the number of patients I've had who have sat calmly and relaxed and with a straight face told me their pain level was a "10", even when you explain that a 10 represents the "worst pain imaginable". They either don't have much of an imagination, or they think they're going to get a extra pain pill for every number up the scale they go. It's a generally accepted method of assessing pain, but also a running joke among nurses.

Sorry to hear she was hit by a car. Despite her sending using the phone from the hospital, I am sure she was in a lot of pain. Does not sound like a fun way to spend the day to me. I hope she quickly heals.

Note that this DUmmy Neoma, who concocted this run-over-by-a-car tale, is also a regular in the DUmp's loony bin:

Finally found a good psychiatrist...again.
The other two good ones... Well, one died and one quit. Every single person someone passes me over to (three times,) sucks.
This one actually has people skills. Hurrah!
