BTW, lurking DUmbasses, if the Caymans ever did this, people would make a run on the banks, never invest another dime IN their banks, and the Caymans would wind up like any other shithole in the Caribbean.

Dear DUmmies, your really don't understand math, economics, or finance, do you?

I expect anybody with a brain and clean money pulled it out of Mediterranean banks at least a year ago.  God knows why they would have had it in them even then, since the whole point of the Euro in the first place is that you can use Euros in a bank in Germany to buy 7% short-term bonds priced in Euros in Italy without losing all your paper profits to differential inflation and currency conversion.
