sit with my husband in his hospice room while he is battling brain cancer. Why do good people have to leave us so soon while the Dick Cheney's of the world live on and on? My husband was a great Democrat and worked tirelessly for Obama/Biden on both campaigns.

At least his vote won't die with him.

and your husband, spartan61. I wish there was something I could do, and I do understand the pain you're going through. You're both in my thoughts.

If someone asks you if you know Spartan, you'll say, who? You don't feel pain for anyone. With 143K posts, you're a post whore and forgot about the post one minute after you made it.

If the loved ones in your life are dying do you view them through the prism of their campaign work and voting record?

So his mental illness is connected to his brain cancer?

You might be on to something. There are a lot of DUmmies joining Dead Ted.

Maybe he just wants to be forever, or until skimmer retires, immortalized on the newly created Dead DUmmy wall.

It's got to be fake, it's got to be a mole.

Not even a primitive would do that.

I'd be lying if that thought wasn't the first thought I had on her (?) OP.

Yeah. I would never refer to anyone as a "good Republican" or even a "good conservative" when it comes to a life/death situation. He's either a good person or he's not, and based on what I've seen out of democrats being a "good Democrat" is the antithesis (is that the correct word?) to being a good person.

It's how they are judged, or so they think.

I was all sad for her until I read the Dick Cheney part.  What a bitch.  She has no right to decide who deserves to die or live.  What a damn hypocrite.

Maybe Obama will drop by and shake your hubbies hand.............don't hold your breath or you will be dead right along with him.  :bird:

Hopefully the OP is true and the world will soon be just a little bit better, as yet another DUmp democrat slithers off to Hell.

But the chance is about 98.8% that the story was contrived and posted by either a mole, or a DUmp attention whore.

This is a sign of some serious mental problems when a wife refers to her soon to be dead husband this way. SERIOUS. MENTAL. PROBLEMS.

Exactly.

As I watched my father die, the last thing on my mind was "Wow, I have to go post on CC right now and bitch about DUmmies!"

She's just holding on to her religion in her time of grief.

Gosh! I hope that when I prepare to shuffle off the mortal coil my loved ones will have something more to say about me than...."He was a good conservative" It would break my heart if that's all they could say about me. :(

I'm trying to remember, and I might or might not be right here.

I think the spartan primitive is originally from Michigan, and a  graduate of Michigan State, but moved with her husband down to Florida for their retirement years.  From what I recall, their house there sits on a concrete slab, no basement underneath it--not that that's especially relevant, but that's what I remember from first meeting her.

So it's possible this whole thing is in fact very true--especially given their ostensible ages.

But if it's true, I'm too preoccupied feeling sorrow over the infants as described in that murder trial taking place in Philadelphia at the moment; I don't have any "feelings" left over to feel anything for primitives excepting loathing and disgust and contempt.

I agree with Jukin.  SERIOUS.  MENTAL.  PROBLEMS.

And she put it in GD, not one of the more intimate, personal forums.  As one sits near a dying loved one, pondering the bittersweet, fleeting moment that is life, a snarky crack about Dick Cheney seems quite odd.  The whole thing's just so inappropriate.

I've seen a lot of things in a number of countries, but that one just leaves everything else in the dust.  The pure evil involved is shocking.

Does CommieCare even cover hospice??  That sounds too compassionate of a benefit, and something akin to a Cadillac plan.

Yes. Jodi Arias is pretty evil, but this guy takes it to a whole different level.

This monster and Michael Jackson's "doctor" give a pretty clear picture of what results from affirmative action in medical school admissioins.

Liberals bristle at Christianity for its "exclusivist" statements such as Jesus saying He was the sole path to salvation.

Yet, here they are acting as if St. Peter will be waiting to eagerly see their voter registration cards.

Well to be fair I asked myself many times, why Taverner gets to live when decent and civilized people don't get the same chance.

You can tell just how much someone makes their politics as much of a religion as any practicing Jew or Catholic or whatever when they bring it up when referring to how great a Democrat or Green or Socialist they are and not the kind of person they are. I agree that is a sick way to think. None of us here or at the old home or any other conservative forum does that kind of thing. This is what the Democratic party is today.

That's the part that baffles me. Ran into this earlier today, and didn't have time to comment.
What world are they living in that they have such a need to politisize(sp) the loss of a loved one?
Are they really that banal?
