26. There were not many liberal choices.

This is what happens when the college of cardinals are stacked with right wing clergy. We can always hope the Holy Ghost moves his heart to be more progressive.

Why would the Holy Ghost move his heart to be a progressive?

I can't figure out how anyone could believe in the Bible and be a progressive.

A highly conservative Jesuit? What are you smoking?

I had a very liberal friend on Facebook say something similar the day Francis was elected. Where do they get these ideas?

13. You keep making broad brushed claims without any sourcing.
When Taverner makes the smears he is careful to add that he is just sayin'.

12. No but his evasive answering of questions is cause for concern

Just sayin'
Similar to the DUmmy hero/tub of guts Rosie O'Donnell just asking questions/just sayin' 9/11 conspiracy theories.  They don't need to prove their stupid claims.

They think the Pope was going to be chosen from downtown Los Angeles or Detroit.  They're idiots.

The Argentine Military Junta was supported by the Soviet Union. They even sided with Argentina during the Falkland War.

The catholic Church will finally be worth something the day they stop electing these moral religious types to be Pope.

Some of them get the idea from the crazy bald dwarf.

On the day he was elected, nadin said he was a believer in "liberation theology", i.e., like the addled nuns who try to climb the fence at nuclear plants, or the commie clergy who supported the Sandinistas.

In the days since, nadin has googled her way into becoming a self-professed Catholic scholar.

He did no such thing.  From what I've read, he did as clergy should do when they are confronted with such a government.  That is continue to shepherd his flock and try to care for those he can.  That doesn't imply support.  Taverner doesn't understand the notion that our enemies, including him, are not mortal flesh and blood things.  He will soon enough, though.

As with all leftists that still profess to be Christian, they believe in the King Choom cheery-picked, abridged DailyKos condensed version of the Bible.

Why would they expect any Pope to support gay marriage and abortion?

Just saying.

Or maybe the next pope will be an agnostic, pro-choice, pro-gay marriage woman!

The DU dream pontiff.
