What do you think?

To me, the problems of today are caused by capitalism on steroids. None of our presidents prior to Reagan would tolerate the massive off-shoring of jobs and wealth. It would have been un-American. Even the Republican Eisenhower would not allow the wealthy to skate with these generously low tax rates, or to allow social security to come under attack from the conservatives at the same time.

To my way of thinking, the fixes are elementary. When the private sector becomes so un-American as to prefer off-shoring for cheap labor and profit, then the federal government should regulate them in a way which forbids it until unemployment numbers in this country are almost 0%; That in the meantime, the federal government would create federal jobs to monopolize certain industries that have unfairly monopolized those industries themselves. For instance, I would federalize the cable industry. Make communications jobs federal jobs and tightly regulate rates that consumers can be charged. I would do the same thing with the Energy Sector. Seize federal control of all U.S. Energy sources and create millions of new federal jobs providing energy without profit.

I would raise taxes dramatically and cap CEO pay. In summation, I think the private sector is filled with vultures with no hint of humanity or natural desire to serve the good of humanity.

Privatize everything? Not hardly. I would federalize everything and declare total war on the bankers and corporate giants like the Roosevelts did. You just can't reward criminals and persecute the citizens for so long without taking drastic measures to correct the wrong.

Confirmed Socialist and proudly so.

I love how the DUmmies hate corporations and CEOs for their corruption, yet they can't wait to give the government which is just as corrupt as they claim corporations are more and more power over all of our lives.
If they federalize all businesses they think that the loving caring government is going to share all the wealth with them. Instead of rich CEOs there will be rich government officials and the DUmmies will just as poor.

3. Oh,I suppose I'm one too, but then what home gardener isn't?

It just depends on how far into the individual's life you're willing to let the state go I suppose. I also am very wary of discussing things like this because its so easy to get into the trap of confusing a political system with an economic system. Everyone does it all the time, myself included. It makes anything like a coherent argument impossible; the old apples and oranges conundrum.

Socialism is a political system because under socialism the government is in total control of the economic system.

 :rotf:

It may be your natural state but there are a lot of us who freedom is our natural state.

I tell you what DUmmies, there is plenty of socialism in Europe feel free to move to France. We don't have the luxury of just finding another free society to move to when this one comes crashing down, because there isn't one. So quit ****ing up our country and go somewhere where they already have what you want.

Hi5 for this ^.

Socialism and other collectivisms require the submission or death of the individual. The battle cry of the free man is "I will not submit."

It all started with the signing of NAFTA.

It's amazing that they keep overlooking that little fact.

They bitched about it until Clinton announced he was in favor of repealing DOMA.

Now all is forgiven.

DUmbasses don't want a freedom or a functioning economy as much as they want to be entertained to death.

OUT: bread and circuses

IN: EBT cards, free birth control and legally sanctioned sodomy

When clinton gets blamed for signing NAFTA, their argument for denial is that George H W Bush and congress enacted it during his term and that clinton just signed it. They never mention that legislation not completed in the preceding term, has to be re introduced, starting the process over from square one.

Either they don't know the process or they hope everyone else is as DUmb as they are.

:lmao: Wife was in a bad mood last night.....and I didn't cause it. She had been grocery shopping and got in the wrong line. She was fussing about how long it took to get checked out. She was behind two EBT card users. One was big as the house with a small baby and pregnant again and the other one was about the same. They had their buggies full of meat, best cuts in the place in the largest packages available. One had a bag of chopped cabbage, the only vegetables in either cart. They swiped their EBT cards then each piled $20 to $30 dollars worth of candy on the counter and paid for that from a wad of cash. The wife was fit to be tied.

Disgusting.  The government needs to crack down on what foods can be purchased.  They used to limit what you could buy, what happened?

The stupid OP is what happens under socialism every time it is tried. Then the misery and millions of deaths happen. Always has, always will.

Jack Sprat's got a tedious rant but isn't his fellow DUmmie, Chauncey Gardiner, essentially talking about the free market?

He doesn't go into specifics but I am guessing he is not turning all his garden produces to the state or some central store to equally distribute and then taking his apportionment based on need, however that works.

The DUmmy has a great idea. This is the policy that triggered enormous wealth and sustained prosperity in Russia and Eastern Europe in the 20th century. When I was a kid everyone dreamed of emigrating to Bulgaria.

If corporations where doing the "vast off-shoring" the libs claim then the unemployment numbers would be much higher.

If it weren't for disability checks, welfare checks, foodstamps, section 8 housing and so on, DUmmies would be flipping burgers and mowing grass and the unemployment figure wouldn't be so high.

If they like socialism/communism so much, they should get to experience it first hand.  Start with those getting social services .  In order to get the government to pay for their stuff, they would actually have to work for it.  Let them farm and run the food banks, work in daycare centers etc.

Now, guys, socialism DOES make some people rich. Just ask Chavez & Castro! Okay, you'd have to hold a seance, but anyone who becomes a billionaire just from being president, well, that's a sign it works for a few people.

10. Home grown tomaters

I see us as a democratic socialistic state here in the US. We have a capitalist economic system, but the government is run as socialism done right. Or close to right.

A prime example of our socialism is our road system. We, the people, the workers, own the roads. Without the roads we built, our capitalistic economic system wouldn't be the same.

Take away social security and our economic system would shriveled up and die. The money social security puts into the economic system is keeping it - the capitalist system -- alive. Capitalism thrives on money moving rapidly around the country. If it was all held and not spent the lack of money would be the death of the capitalist system.

as justification for turning this country into Venezuala. I think they should try to help Tav set up his new forum to promote their collectivistic agenda, socialists are they. ::)
