Ye Gods, the DUmp is boring today. I wandered into the C&B section. Let's see what the DUmmies have been having for dinner.
This first one made me laugh.

13. panéed pork escallopes
and whole-grain horseradish mustard cream reduction along with (presteamed) broccoli caramelized in smoking oil and tossed with catalan arbequina olive oil, cracked pepper and a whiff of idiazabal cheese and smashed yukons with 86% fat cultured butter (Vermont Creamery...if you can buy it do so, it's extraordinarily expensive and even more extraordinarily better).

Pearitos for me - I am heading back to Vegetarian Land.
Please tell me that's not a burrito stuffed with a bunch of peas. My stomach just lurched.

6. i think i'm going to make another batch of soup
cook up the acorn squash, a few taters and some carrots, drop in a can of chick peas and condensed milk and whiz the immersion blender through it.
This sounds like a mess:

Oh good lord? Pearito? I was hoping that was some alcoholic pear drink. It didn't click that it could be a burrito made with peas!!!

You know what, Karin? That's exactly what it is -- peas and black beans. She's described it before in a post.
And it's extremely :puke: --worthy

Since they are poor primitives, they can't possibly afford half the crap they mention above, right ?

you left out "Cheetos"

A pear Mojito! Now that might be good! Lightyears better than the monstrosity that I cannot even type. I'm seriously green around the gills. This is how Sparky felt with dementedjeep's enchiladas.
I'm still laughing at Sir pinhead, and his broccoli caramelized in smoking oil and tossed with catalan arbequina olive oil, cracked pepper and a whiff of idiazabal cheese and if he's a mole, my hat's off to you.
Just a whiff!

Someone's got expensive tastes, even for a DUmmie.
Must be a 1%er.

Okay, which one of you pricks or prickettes is "sir pball"?
That sounds like the menu at a snack bar in coach's part of Nebraska.
The hateful old crones in the Cooking Group never catch on when someone's mocking them.

It's hilarious watching a bunch of snobs spout off the most foreign sounding dishes they can google up in an attempt to impress each other with their worldliness and epicurean tastes.
We all know that what they really had, was a bucket of KFC washed down with 5 gal of Diet Coke.

Yes, I know that dish well. It's just tablescraps all smooshed together.
When I used to keep hounds, they LOVED that.
It never occurred to me that people would eat smooshed-together tablescraps.

Thanks for the translation - I had NO idea :thatsright:

Oh my gosh, I LOLed when Karin said pea burrito. I thought maybe the DUmmie was having a liquid dinner of a pear flavored drink, but burrito of peas is probably more accurate.
I picture at least half these goofs opening up cans of Vienna sausages and serving saltines and spray cheese on the side.

Oh yeah- even in NY!

I don't need to read a DUmmie list of foods pulled off of the internet just so that they can impress each other. My wife is Persian and we eat interestingly delicious dishes all of the time that are not typical in most American households. Oh wait...that can't be possible because I'm just an uncultured, uneducated redneck in flyover country that experiences more diversity under my own roof in one day than those idiots do in a lifetime.
-
That Livestohike DUmmie is a strict vegetarian, and she lives almost entirely off of beans, legumes, peas, that sort of fibrous thing. She mentioned that her husband cannot handle those things, but that's all she makes anyway. Which is not very nice, forcing her husband to be in constant gastric pain, popping gas pills and generally being in distress 100% of the time. Not to mention fainting from the lack of protein. Stinking up the joint, too.
Why won't he learn to cook, and make something acceptable for himself? Too stuck in traditional gender roles for that even to occur to him? Why won't she be a kind liberal, and make him something more enjoyable?
I am absolutely certain that sir pinhead is a mole, having fun.

Velvet and I got on the elevator the other day. Someone lit off a "whiff of idiazabal cheese" between the 2nd and 3rd floors. Velvet looked at me like I had done it. I said, "Hey, it wasn't me!"
